As part of ASAP’s Get Local campaign – a year-round initiative that brings together farmers, chefs, and community members to highlight a featured local food – ASAP is partnering with restaurants that go above and beyond when it comes to purchasing and serving local foods from Appalachian Grown certified farms. Jack of the Wood is a mainstay of the local food community, and they have teamed up with Imladris Farm and ASAP to create a unique event to celebrate local food!Get Local on the Mountain will take place on top of Little Pisgah Mountain in Fairview, NC. At 4,000 feet, the view is one-of-a-kind. The food will be just as special! Featuring apples and rabbits courtesy of Imladris Farm, Jack of the Wood Executive Chef Jason Brian has created a special multi-course, small plate menu just for this event.
Get Local on the Mountain will be Sunday, October 19, 1:30-5:30 pm. Tickets are $60 per person, which includes food, beer, wine, and the view! Proceeds of the event benefit ASAP. Parking will be at Pleaasant Grove Baptist Church, 455 Hollywood Road, Fairview, NC 28730. Ticket holders will be shuttled to the event site on Little Pisgah Mountain. Dress will be country casual, sturdy shoes, and jackets. In case of bad weather, mark your calendars for October 26 as the back-up date.
