Renowned Spanish football club, Real Madrid announced a 5-day camp in Lahore that will take place between 27 to 31 December later this year at Model Town Football Academy.

Director of Real Madrid Foundation Jaoquin Sagues came all the way from Spain to attend the event and announce the camp, trainers and coaches will also come from Spain to coach the kids aged from 7 to 17 in the camp. The registration for the camp is open at the moment.

Real Madrid Foundation has been conducting camps for the past five years and have conducted them in four different continents with 30,000 children attending them so far.

The core reason of the project is to encourage football activities in a country, where cricket is the most played sport. The camp will help them to learn different culture and also polish their soccer activities.

Jaoquin talked to The Nation and said, “There are a lot of talented children but the only thing they don’t have is platform. We are delighted to announce the first ever football club Real Madrid Foundation campus experience in Pakistan where we believe the passion for football is big. Through this foundation we aim to provide children an opportunity to learn the game of football and the values inherent in sport.”
