The second edition of Pakistan Super League has been quite forgettable for Karachi Kings so far as they have suffered three consecutive losses in the campaign. They looked fine against Lahore Qalandars last night but at the end of the day a target of 180 runs proved to be too much for Kumar Sangakkara & Co.

They will face another big challenge when they will take on the reigning champions Islamabad United in the iconic Sharjah cricket stadium.

Islamabad United have been in great form, they have pulled off two incredible chases in tournament so far, one against Peshawar Zalmi in the league opener and then against Quetta Gladiators a couple of days ago. The Men in Red must be confident of their performance and will be looking to prove a point as they have been dented by match fixing allegations on batting duo of Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif. The unfortunate incident has made them look more determined now.

On the other hand, Karachi Kings will be hoping to break their unsuccessful streak in the fourth match of the tournament. The big names in the team, especially Chris Gayle has failed miserably in this year’s PSL so far and has scored just 17 runs in first three matches. Only Shoaib Malik and Sangakkara have been consistent for Karachi Kings with 98 and 95 runs respectively against their name in the tournament.

In bowling department, Mohammad Amir and Sohail Khan have performed well. Whereas, Imad Wasim and others have not performed at their best so far. It is probably just a matter of one good match for Kings and they will be back in the hunt.

Islamabad United are well gelled together under Misbah Ul Haq’s captaincy. They have won two of their three games of PSL 2017 with team work. All of their experienced players Misbah Ul Haq, Brad Haddin, Shane Watson, Misbah and Mohammad Sami have clicked in the tournament which has given them edge over their opponents.

The match is scheduled to be played at 9 PM (PST) in Sharjah.
