KARACHI: Sundaram Ravi of India will officiate the upcoming two match-test series of Pakistan against New Zealand.
He will share the responsibilities on the field with the experienced Ian Gould of England in the first test, while Australia’s Simon Fry will perform the duties of third umpire.
In the second test of the series, Ravi will again be the standing umpire, but, Fry will be his partner, whereas, Ian Gould will be the TV umpire.
Ravi, who is 50 years old, will be officiating his 16th test, he made his test debut back in 2013 in Bangladesh when New Zealand visited there. Ravi has previously officiated Pakistan’s three test matches and all of them were against Sri Lanka.
West Indies’ Richie Richardson will be the match referee for both the games between Pakistan and New Zealand.
The series is scheduled to commence from November 17 at Hagley Oval in Christchurch.
