KARACHI: The first edition of Pakistan Super League was the beginning of something extremely special as the most trumpeted project of Pakistan Cricket Board finally saw the light of day.

Pakistan Super League was the ground breaking venture in the history of Pakistan cricket and the first season in 2016 went down really well with the fans and to be precise was in accordance with their expectations.

The 19-day league was played in Dubai and Sharjah and comprised of five franchises which included Lahore Qalandars, Karachi Kings, Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators. All outfits had a fair mix of international and domestic players.
