ROING, Jan 13: Member of Parliament Ninong Ering said he would approach the central government for providing sufficient fund under MGNREGA to ensure 100 days employment guarantee in a financial year to every household under the programme.

Ering, who chaired the District Level Vigilance and Monitoring Committee Meeting here yesterday, stated that he would find out the reason of not providing 100 days job to every household in a year under MGNREGA and take up the matter with the central government.

He urged the state Government to review the fund sharing pattern between Central and state for better performance of the centrally sponsored scheme. He suggested for direct allocation of fund to district authority.

He also suggested that the District authority should be allowed to procure CGI sheets under IAY to maintain quality. He also said that he would personally visit all the beneficiaries under IAY to take stock of quality and quantity of CGI sheets provided to them.

Lower Dibang Valley Deputy Commissioner Ravi Dhawan suggested that works to be taken under MGNREGA should be planned properly and said that individual scheme like IHHL should be taken on priority to benefit the beneficiaries directly.

He also stressed the need for creating mass public awareness about various insurance schemes sponsored by the central Government like Jan Dhon Yojna, Atal Pension Yojna and Bima Yojna, He further informed that all bank branches have been directed to support all the stakeholders to open bank account.

He also stressed on seeding of Aadhar Card with all Job card holders under MGNREGA and directed all BDOs to complete the process by the end of March this year.

The meeting was attended by DRDA Project Director, Executive Engineers of PHED, RWD, Power, Deputy Director of ICDS, public leaders and other officials. DIPRO
