Toyota Kirloskar Motor Records One Millionth Car Sale in India
Toyota Etios rolled out as the 1 millionth vehicle produced by Toyota in India
New Delhi, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd. (TKM) today recorded its one millionth vehicle sale through its authorized dealer, Nippon Toyota in Cochin. The one millionth car- a Toyota Etios was handed over to a customer during a ceremony held to celebrate the one millionth sale.
Addressing the occasion, Mr. N. Raja, Senior Vice President, TKM said, “The sale of Toyota’s one millionth car in India marks a very important milestone for us. Since its inception, Toyota has been present in the MPV/SUV segment in India and we have been market leaders ever since in these segments. It is only in 2011 that we forayed into the mass segment with the Etios & Liva and still have been able to realize this milestone in such a short duration.
As we achieve this significant landmark, I would like to thank our valuable customers, dealer partners, employees and suppliers for their support and commitment. We will continue to focus our efforts in bringing Toyota’s globally renowned QDR products to the Indian market”.
Since its establishment in India in 1997, Toyota has grown many folds. This growth has significantly been in the form of increased localization in our products, enhanced network of dealer & supplier partners, increased dealer outlets across India and a phased capacity expansion of up to 3, 10,000 units. To further celebrate this landmark milestone, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has announced a special scheme for the month of March 2014 through which customers can choose from various exciting offers. Customers can either avail benefits of upto Rs. 40,000 or choose from attractive Finance Schemes (low rate of interest / 100% on road funding) through its subsidiary finance arm, Toyota Financial Services, India.
