Dedicated to supporting artists promote their work and grow their businesses, Rick Barnett brings a wealth of successful experience to the ArtExpo team. Rick has extensive specialty retail expertise and a long career in the art industry. Prior to joining ArtExpo, he was the Senior Vice President of Retail Development for Media Arts Group Inc., where he designed and developed a worldwide retail chain of 400+ exclusive galleries, working with gallery owners and licensing partners around the globe. Bridging the corporate art world with hands-on retail experience, Mr. Barnett also owned and operated six fine art galleries in Monterey/Carmel and Southern California.

Mr. Barnett brings 30 years of executive management skill and knowledge to his role with ArtExpo. Mr. Barnett is a Time-Warner published author, has hosted television shows in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, and has been the on-air host for numerous trade and training media communication programs. Regina Leadem

Regina Leadem joined GE in 2006 as the vice-president of Sales at GE Money Luxury. She oversees the private label credit card programs at 3000+ jewelers and luxury retailers. Regina is currently on the board of Jewelers Vigilance Committee and a member of the Women’s Jewelery Association. Regina is currently working toward her Graduate Gemologist degree at the G.I.A.

Prior to joining GE, Regina held positions at Gucci Group Watches, Christian Dior Timepieces, Swiss Army Brands and Cartier. While in these positions she has worked with couture, chain, independent and mass merchants, giving her a broad depth of experience.

Regina has spoken at industry events and trade shows and contributed to trade publications on behalf of GE Money Luxury helping merchants better understand and use the GE Money private label credit card program to drive sales and profitability.

Founded in 1992 out of her lower level basement and with only two customers, Litsa Spanos, President of ADC, Art Design Consultants, Inc. was determined to take her passion for art and bring beauty into as many homes and offices as possible. Her goal was to create comfortable and energizing environments for everyone to live and work in.

Currently, her vision continues to grow with a new 10,000 sq ft art gallery and framing facility, numerous residential, corporate and commercial clients, and various prestigious industry awards. Her company currently ranks in the top 2% of all women-owned business in the nation. Spanos’ dedication to her company is just as strong as her wanting to “give back” to the community. Jay Landrum

Jay Landrum – Art & Publishing Law

Jay Landrum, attorney at law with Landrum & Company, Inc., has extensive experience representing artists, art publishers, licensors and licensees in all stages of operation.

Within his Intellectual Property practice, his primary focus on contracts and licensing law includes artist and author representation, licensor/agent/licensee representation, business relationship agreements (such as dealer, distributor and manufacturer representative agreements) and technology transactions. He assists clients in developing tailored intellectual property portfolio protection and enforcement programs, handles trademark and copyright filings and enforcement, and provides counsel on employee theft and trade secret misappropriation.

While serving as Senior Vice President and General Counsel for Media Arts Group, Inc., a NYSE company known for developing the popularity of such artists as Thomas Kinkade, Mr. Landrum was an integral part of the management team which developed one of the largest artist-based brands in the world. His creative, business oriented solutions were pivotal in the management of over 5000 dealers, and his development of minimum pricing policies greatly impacted the manner in which limited edition art has been sold within the industry.

Michael Pacitti

Michael Pacitti, IDEC, CPF, has worked in the fine art, design and framing industry for more than 25 years.

He is currently associated with the Color Marketing Group, and the Color Association of the United States (C.A.U.S) where he has been teaching seminars on color and design to interior designers and decorators throughout North America, Europe, and China for 25 years.

He has also written numerous articles on color and design and is a professional certified educator with IDEC Interior Design Educators Council, resulting in his accessible style of conducting informative and interactive workshops.

James Taylor

W. James Taylor – CEO – Geneva Galleries

James is an award winning Pastel Artist and Musician. His work adorns the walls of many collectors and Government Agencies throughout the United States and abroad. In the Fine Art business since 1975, he has been a consistent student of the trade. His company, Geneva Galleries Inc., specializes in Archival Art Conservation and Presentation with a strong emphasis on corporate Art Installations.

In 2010, James established the Limited Edition Giclee Publishing Division of Geneva Galleries which concentrates specifically on Career Management and Art Publishing Strategies and Techniques for Emerging Artists. Working closely with the Artist, he hopes to guide them through the pitfalls associated with the ever changing Fine Art Industry.

James also uses his art, music and motivational speaking expertise to work with Senior Living communities across the United States. This has been one of his most rewarding and satisfying career experiences.

Woody Slaymaker

Woody Slaymaker - Slaymaker Fine Art

Woody Slaymaker has operated Slaymaker Fine Art, LTD. for close to 30 years and today the business model he established remains a part of his business today. Slaymaker Fine Art Ltd. is an original fine art corporation specializing in seling original works of fine art wholesale to the trade. Slaymaker offers fine works of art on paper and canvas of Library of Congress standards to fine art galleries, art dealers and corporate art consultants.

The current company was established in 1956 by the late Martha Slaymaker , his mother, and then in 1079 Woody began selling her paintings and those of her friends to galleries around the country. Today is continues to be by managed by Mr. Slaymaker and his wife Fangii Slaymaker.

Including its Chicago hub, the company has hubs throughout the United States as well as sells internationally. Slaymaker Fine Art offers only paintings and original prints, representing the work of about 80 artist, many from the U.S., but also internationally. Mr. Slaymaker chooses the art himself – with a wide range of genres, from figurative and still life to landscape and abstract.

Woody Slaymaker’s deep passion and appreciation for decorative arts and architecture inspires not only his business, but his home as well. He and his family live in the third oldest home in the Chicago Lakeview district.
