Goooood morning! Lots of reactions to the 2015 Schedule in today's Kansas City Chiefs news. Enjoy!

Kansas City Chiefs 2015 Regular Season Schedule: Chiefs to Play in Three Primetime Games from The Mothership

The Kansas City Chiefs will be featured in three primetime television games, including two back-to-back contests in Weeks Two and Three. The Chiefs will face the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football on Sept. 17, followed by a visit to Green Bay to take on the Packers on Monday Night Football on Sept. 28. Chiefs fans will also get the chance to watch their favorite team on Sunday Night Football on Nov. 22, as Kansas City takes on the Chargers in San Diego on NBC. In addition to the three primetime contests, the Chiefs travel internationally to London in Week Eight to play the Detroit Lions in an 8:30 a.m. local kickoff on FOX.

This season will mark the sixth-consecutive year the Chiefs have held at least one primetime contest and the second-straight year the team has been slated for three night games.

Analyzing the Kansas City Chiefs' 2015 Schedule from The Mothership

About the Texans:

The Houston Texans finished the 2014 season with a 9-7 record.

Led by the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in J.J. Watt, the Texans won four of their last five games of the season and just missed out on the playoffs.

The three quarterbacks currently on the roster for the Texans are Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallet and Tom Savage.

Free Agents Lost: WR Andre Johnson, LB Brooks Reed, QB Thad Lewis, FS Kendrick Lewis

Free Agents Gained: DL Vince Wilfork, WR Cecil Shorts, DB Rahim Moore, QB Brian Hoyer

Last time they met:

The Chiefs beat the Texans 17-16 back in 2013 at Arrowhead Stadium.

Jamaal Charles carried the ball 21 times for 86 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs victory.

All-time record:

The Chiefs are 3-3 against the Texans in the all-time series.

Notes:

This will be the fifth time in eight meetings between these two teams that the game will be played in Houston.

Five Things to Know About the Chiefs' 2015 Schedule from The Mothership

Here are five things you need to know about the Chiefs' schedule:

1. Traveling quite a bit, especially early

The Chiefs will roughly travel a total of 21,568 miles this season.

They are on the road for three of the first four games of the season, including the season opener against the Houston Texans in Week 1.

They also travel to take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 and then the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4.

The home opener at Arrowhead Stadium comes in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos in a primetime matchup on Thursday Night Football.

Derrick Johnson and the Return of a Leader from The Mothership

As time ticked away in the second quarter, the Titans' Jake Locker dropped back and Johnson went into pass coverage. Eyes on the quarterback, he back-pedaled at first and then shifted to his right.

That's when he fell in a heap to the ground. He had ruptured his Achilles tendon.

What made the moment such a remarkable sight was watching as Johnson rode off in a cart. This was Derrick Johnson. And he was helpless.

Fast-forward more than seven months later to Monday at the University of Kansas Hospital Training Complex, and the magic of time proved astounding once again.

This scene was vastly different.

Johnson stood upright at the podium in his red, team-issued "Work to Win" T-shirt looking thin and healthy, and his appearance came with the feel of a man reenergized to get back to the office after much too long a vacation.

Travis Kelce and the Chiefs Tight Ends Visited Fort Leavenworth from The Mothership

Despite beginning their offseason workout program just two days ago, tight ends Travis Kelce,Demetrius Harris and the rest of the unit were out in the Kansas City community Tuesday afternoon to visit Fort Leavenworth and specifically, the Patton Junior High School gym.

Two Chiefs cheerleaders and K.C. Wolf joined the tight ends for the Play 60 event.

After introducing themselves and thanking the troops and their families, the players broke away from the group into their respective Play 60 stations for the 75 children in attendance.

Kelce, as he's now used to, was put in charge of the touchdown dance station, an area where kids mimic a running back by hurdling over pads before breaking out their best celebration.

Travis Kelce Says "Sky is the Limit" for Chiefs in 2015 from The Mothership

Despite all that individual success last season, Kelce only seems interested in where the Chiefs are headed as a team.

"In my mind, the sky is the limit," Kelce said. "That is just the confidence that I have in the players, the team that we've been able to put together. I think we can go ahead and have one heck of an outstanding season.

"Whether that's me putting up big numbers, average numbers or whatever statistics that you want to throw out there, I think this is going to be one heck of a team going forward."

Chiefs open 2015 regular season against Texans from Chiefs Digest

"April is an exciting time of year for us," coach Andy Reid said in a statement released by the team. "Along with the schedule release and the NFL Draft, we also get our first opportunity as a team to get back to football. After seeing our schedule today including three primetime games, I know Chiefs Kingdom will be as energized as I am come September."

Kansas City Chiefs schedule analysis from ESPN

If the Kansas City Chiefs can survive a rugged early stretch, they should be in good shape. They have three of the first four games and four of the first six games on the road, but finish with four of the last six, including the final two games, at Arrowhead Stadium. The Chiefs are happy about having a late bye the weekend of Nov. 8. But they earned it, having relinquished a home game against the Detroit Lions that will be played on Nov. 1 at Wembley Stadium in London.

First impression? The Chiefs can get to 10 wins in 2015 -- just don't ask us how from FS Kansas City

So there's plenty to love, plenty to loathe, and the truth probably falls, as it usually does, somewhere in the middle. It's the first time the Chiefs have opened a regular season with three out of their first four on the road since 2007. And five of six divisional matchups fall after the Week 9 bye, including a stretch of three AFC West roadies over four weekends (at Denver, Nov. 15; at San Diego, Nov. 22; at Oakland, Dec. 6).

On the bright side, potential subplots abound, especially early. Look! There's Romeo Crennel in Week 1! And Peyton Manning just four days later! General manager John Dorsey gets a lap in his old Wisconsin stomping grounds! Da Bears visit our shores for the first time since 2003! Todd Haley! Again!

Game-by-game predictions: Kansas City Chiefs from ESPN

Week 17: Sunday, Jan. 3, Oakland, 1 p.m.

The Chiefs will finish their season as they did in 2014. They'll beat a division rival but the victory will be an unsatisfying one because it won't put them in the playoffs. Chiefs 20, Raiders 7. Record: 9-7.

Chiefs LB Dee Ford looks to build on rookie season from Chiefs Digest

"I'm a perfectionist, so I walked away ready to get to work," Ford said Monday. "I feel like I left a lot of plays out on the field."

Ford said he took some time off after the season before committing himself to training in Miami.

The 6-foot-2 Ford said he currently weighs 245 pounds and is happy with that weight - he entered the league at 252 pounds - and his offseason focused on getting stronger.

If Kiper's predictions hold, Chiefs won't be getting first-round steal from ESPN

If indeed it's general manager John Dorsey's plan to draft the best player available regardless of need for the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the upcoming draft, the Chiefs may not be getting any bargains.

ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr.'s Big Board ranking in order of the draft's top 25 players has only two of the top 17 available when the Chiefs make their first-round pick, 18th overall, in his latest mock draft.

Those players are Florida State center Cameron Erving, rated 14th by Kiper, and Georgia running back Todd Gurley, rated 17th.

Chiefs waive CB Shaquille Richardson from Chiefs Digest

The Chiefs waived cornerback Shaquille Richardson with a "failure to disclose physical condition" designation, according to Tuesday's NFL Transaction report.

NFL: Texans release 2015 schedule, Andre Johnson set to return Oct. 8 from The Atascocita Observer

"First game, you look at the first game. Kansas City is a very tough opponent and not an opponent that we're real familiar with," Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said. "They're not, obviously, a division opponent and they're not somebody that we play every year, so really I look at the first game. Basically from there, you're looking at where the bye occurs, where some travel may occur. If you're going from the East Coast to the West Coast. Actually, we don't really travel to the West Coast on this schedule, so the travel doesn't seem to be too bad. Right now, looking at the schedule, we're all excited about it."

Texans to face several top overall draft picks in 2015 season from HoustonTexans.com

That said, I kept it simple. The number one overall picks the Texans will face this year are...

Eric Fisher, OL, Kansas City Chiefs (2013)
Fisher was Kansas City's top pick in 2013 out of Central Michigan. The former Chippewah has started 29 games in two season for the Chiefs, including every game last season.

Game-by-game predictions: Pittsburgh Steelers from ESPN

Week 7: Sunday, Oct. 25, at Kansas City, 1 PM

Arrowhead Stadium is polka dots with stripes loud and one of the tougher places to play for an opposing team. The Steelers should match up well with the Chiefs, who did not have a wide receiver catch a touchdown pass last season. Unless the Chiefs get immediate help at wide receiver in the draft, the Steelers win this -- and more handily than most think. Steelers 27, Chiefs 16. Record 4-3.

Birkett: Game-by-game Lions predictions for 2015 - 9-7 from The Detroit Free Press

Week 8: vs. Kansas City Chiefs in London (Nov. 1): Can the Lions unearth Wembley Stadium magic for the second straight year? Pick: Chiefs 22, Lions 21

Game-by-game predictions: Minnesota Vikings from ESPN

Week 6: Sunday, Oct. 18, Kansas City, 1 p.m. ET

The Chiefs come to town for the first time since 2003 in one of the NFL's Super Bowl rematches to celebrate 50 years of the big game. The Vikings have a tall task against the league's second-best scoring defense from a year ago, but they get Kansas City's relatively tepid passing game and they'll be well-rested after a bye. Vikings 23, Chiefs 14. Record: 3-2

Game-by-game predictions: Houston Texans from ESPN

There are some significant pieces missing right now (like the name of the starting quarterback) but as things stand now I expect the Texans to be better and to take advantage of having the third easiest schedule in the league.

Week 1: Sunday, Sept. 13, Kansas City, 1 p.m.

This game will debut the Texans new quarterback and revamped defense. Kansas City finished 9-7 last season with a 3-5 road record. The Texans won their opener last season and will again. Texans 22, Chiefs 14. Record: 1-0.

The Pope, the Problems and the 2015 Schedule from MMQB

Kansas City. Chiefs should get an emotional lift with the home opener on Thursday of Week 2 against Peyton Manning. The league will be sweating Bears and Steelers noon home games in October, with the rise of the Royals and the chance of another post-season run by the local baseball team.

Aramark shows how ballpark food is prepared after accusations of mold, overcooked food from KCTV5

Aramark was pretty open during Tuesday's tour, admitting they were concerned to see the pictures and tried to contact the fans who posted the pictures online, but did not get a response.

Aramark says if you're served a hotdog that doesn't look up to standards, to bring it to guest relations and they will correct the problem.

Aramark said even after the Buck Night fiasco and some questionable food items at Kansas City Chiefs games, food sales are up at Kauffman. The company sold 63,000 hotdogs on Friday, setting a record for a Buck Night at the Royals.

Game-by-game predictions: Green Bay Packers from ESPN

Week 3: Monday, Sept. 28, Kansas City, 8:30 p.m. ET

Aaron Rodgers hasn't lost back-to-back home starts since Weeks 13-14 of 2008, so look for the Packers to bounce back from the Week 2 loss to the Seahawks. Packers 34, Chiefs 14. Record: 2-1.

Game-by-game predictions: Denver Broncos from ESPN

Week 2: Thursday, Sept. 17, at Kansas City, 8:25 p.m. ET

It is the second consecutive season the Broncos will play the Chiefs in Week 2. Last season it was in Denver -- a 24-17 Broncos' victory. It's a short turnaround this time for the Broncos, but it is also the shortest road trip the team can make.Broncos 30, Chiefs 17. Record: 2-0.

Broncos' 2015 schedule released; season to open at home vs. Ravens from The Denver Post

WEEK 2: Thurs., Sept. 17 -- at Kansas City, 6:25 p.m.
Chiefs have won 20 games the past two years but none in four tries against the Broncos.

Chiefs open 2015 with vaunted 6-game stretch from The St. Joseph News-Press

A glorious three-in-four-weeks homestand to finish the season must be on the minds of the Kansas City Chiefs faithful after the NFL released its schedule Tuesday.

In order to get to that stretch with anything to play for, though, the Chiefs will have to navigate four road games in the first six weeks and the first overseas trip in franchise history.

Ravens' local prospect day has distinct Terps feel from The Baltimore Sun

Coxson is upbeat about his NFL draft stock. He's visited the Kansas City Chiefs and worked out for the New York Giants and New York Jets. Along with several other players who participated in the Ravens' workout, he'll work out at the Washington Redskins' local prospect day Wednesday.

Coxson ran the 40-yard dash in 4.28 and 4.33 seconds at his campus Pro Day workout, where he also bench pressed 225 pounds 15 times and had a 34-inch vertical leap. He has been training with retired Ravens wide receiver Qadry Ismail for the past few months at The Arena Club in Bel Air.

Jamaal Charles gets homecoming in Texans-Chiefs season opener from The Beaumont Enterprise

Those interested in watching Memorial High School grad Jamaal Charles in NFL action won't have to hop on a flight to Kansas City this year.

Agent's Take: The hidden economics in the 1st round of the NFL Draft from CBS Sports

The 11th pick in the first round is the worst draft position from an option year standpoint. Defensive tackle Dontari Poe was taken 11th by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012. His option year salary in 2016, which the Chiefs will certainly pick up, is $6.146 million. If Poe had been drafted one pick higher, his option year salary would have been $9.314 million. There's a $3.168 million difference in option year pay because he went 11th instead of 10th.

The two tiers of option year salary creates added valued for those picks right outside of the top 10. Not only are the salaries for these picks lower than top 10 picks, there's additional future savings with the option year.

2015 Thursday Night Football schedule from SB Nation

While the first game of the season falls on Thursday, Sept. 10, that game is actually a Thursday night edition of NBC's Sunday Night Football. Accordingly, the first game of the Thursday Night Football schedule arrives in Week 2 when the Denver Broncos travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs.

Beasley, Anthony picked by Kiper in latest Mock Draft from TigerNet.com

Kiper had the Kansas City Chiefs picking Stephone Anthony with the 49th overall pick in the mock draft.

"Anthony is the No. 2 inside linebacker on my draft board, so getting him to line up next to Derrick Johnson is a good get at No. 49, especially since I thought Miami might take him at No. 47," Kiper writes. "Anthony is a very good tackler who holds up pretty well in coverage."

The 19 Super Bowl rematches on this year's NFL schedule from CBS Sports

Super Bowl I - Packers vs. Chiefs

The Packers won the first two Super Bowls, and as we'll see in a minute, the second one is another rematch scheduled for this year. Green Bay has Super Bowl hopes that rest once again on the shoulder of Aaron Rodgers, whose team did well to retain tackle Bryan Bulagaand wide receiver Randall Cobb before they officially hit free agency this offseason. The Pack taking on Kansas City's defense should be an exciting match-up, and who knows, maybe Eric Berry will be back from his battle with Hodgkin's lymphoma by the time these two teams square off....

...Super Bowl IV - Vikings vs. Chiefs

Yet another AFC North - NFC West match-up, this one got the Chiefs in the win column and marked the first of four Super Bowl losses without a win for the Vikings (the others would come later in the 1970s and one of them is another rematch on this year's schedule). The Chiefs defense should be a nice test for Teddy Bridgewater, and if Adrian Peterson is still with Minnesota, he'll engaged in a match-up of two of the league's best running backs, along with Jamaal Charles.

Browns draft radar: Arizona State WR Jaelen Strong from ClevelandBrowns.com

Why he won't be around at 12 or 19: Again, 12 is not the concern. The team in front of the Browns, Kansas City, could throw a wrench into everything when it pertains to Strong because the Chiefs are in the market for another play-making wide receiver to team alongside Jeremy Maclin. Another team that could potentially beef up at wide receiver is Miami, which traded No. 1 target Mike Wallace to the Vikings and released Hartline.
