Kansas City Chiefs 2015 Regular Season Schedule: Chiefs to Play in Three Primetime Games from The Mothership
The Kansas City Chiefs will be featured in three primetime television games, including two back-to-back contests in Weeks Two and Three. The Chiefs will face the Denver Broncos on Thursday Night Football on Sept. 17, followed by a visit to Green Bay to take on the Packers on Monday Night Football on Sept. 28. Chiefs fans will also get the chance to watch their favorite team on Sunday Night Football on Nov. 22, as Kansas City takes on the Chargers in San Diego on NBC. In addition to the three primetime contests, the Chiefs travel internationally to London in Week Eight to play the Detroit Lions in an 8:30 a.m. local kickoff on FOX.
This season will mark the sixth-consecutive year the Chiefs have held at least one primetime contest and the second-straight year the team has been slated for three night games.

About the Texans:
The Houston Texans finished the 2014 season with a 9-7 record.
Led by the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in J.J. Watt, the Texans won four of their last five games of the season and just missed out on the playoffs.
The three quarterbacks currently on the roster for the Texans are Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallet and Tom Savage.

Here are five things you need to know about the Chiefs' schedule:
1. Traveling quite a bit, especially early
The Chiefs will roughly travel a total of 21,568 miles this season.
They are on the road for three of the first four games of the season, including the season opener against the Houston Texans in Week 1.
They also travel to take on the Green Bay Packers in Week 3 and then the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4.
The home opener at Arrowhead Stadium comes in Week 2 against the Denver Broncos in a primetime matchup on Thursday Night Football.
Derrick Johnson and the Return of a Leader from The Mothership
As time ticked away in the second quarter, the Titans' Jake Locker dropped back and Johnson went into pass coverage. Eyes on the quarterback, he back-pedaled at first and then shifted to his right.
That's when he fell in a heap to the ground. He had ruptured his Achilles tendon.
What made the moment such a remarkable sight was watching as Johnson rode off in a cart. This was Derrick Johnson. And he was helpless.
Fast-forward more than seven months later to Monday at the University of Kansas Hospital Training Complex, and the magic of time proved astounding once again.
This scene was vastly different.
Johnson stood upright at the podium in his red, team-issued "Work to Win" T-shirt looking thin and healthy, and his appearance came with the feel of a man reenergized to get back to the office after much too long a vacation.
Travis Kelce and the Chiefs Tight Ends Visited Fort Leavenworth from The Mothership
Despite beginning their offseason workout program just two days ago, tight ends Travis Kelce,Demetrius Harris and the rest of the unit were out in the Kansas City community Tuesday afternoon to visit Fort Leavenworth and specifically, the Patton Junior High School gym.
Two Chiefs cheerleaders and K.C. Wolf joined the tight ends for the Play 60 event.
After introducing themselves and thanking the troops and their families, the players broke away from the group into their respective Play 60 stations for the 75 children in attendance.
Kelce, as he's now used to, was put in charge of the touchdown dance station, an area where kids mimic a running back by hurdling over pads before breaking out their best celebration.
Travis Kelce Says "Sky is the Limit" for Chiefs in 2015 from The Mothership
Despite all that individual success last season, Kelce only seems interested in where the Chiefs are headed as a team.
"In my mind, the sky is the limit," Kelce said. "That is just the confidence that I have in the players, the team that we've been able to put together. I think we can go ahead and have one heck of an outstanding season.
"Whether that's me putting up big numbers, average numbers or whatever statistics that you want to throw out there, I think this is going to be one heck of a team going forward."

Ford said he took some time off after the season before committing himself to training in Miami.
The 6-foot-2 Ford said he currently weighs 245 pounds and is happy with that weight - he entered the league at 252 pounds - and his offseason focused on getting stronger.
If Kiper's predictions hold, Chiefs won't be getting first-round steal from ESPN
If indeed it's general manager John Dorsey's plan to draft the best player available regardless of need for the Kansas City Chiefs in the first round of the upcoming draft, the Chiefs may not be getting any bargains.
ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr.'s Big Board ranking in order of the draft's top 25 players has only two of the top 17 available when the Chiefs make their first-round pick, 18th overall, in his latest mock draft.
Those players are Florida State center Cameron Erving, rated 14th by Kiper, and Georgia running back Todd Gurley, rated 17th.

The Chiefs waived cornerback Shaquille Richardson with a "failure to disclose physical condition" designation, according to Tuesday's NFL Transaction report.

The 11th pick in the first round is the worst draft position from an option year standpoint. Defensive tackle Dontari Poe was taken 11th by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2012. His option year salary in 2016, which the Chiefs will certainly pick up, is $6.146 million. If Poe had been drafted one pick higher, his option year salary would have been $9.314 million. There's a $3.168 million difference in option year pay because he went 11th instead of 10th.
The two tiers of option year salary creates added valued for those picks right outside of the top 10. Not only are the salaries for these picks lower than top 10 picks, there's additional future savings with the option year.

The Chiefs defense should be a nice test for Teddy Bridgewater, and if Adrian Peterson is still with Minnesota, he'll engaged in a match-up of two of the league's best running backs, along with Jamaal Charles.
