"Our family and the Chiefs organization are saddened by the passing of Bobby Yarborough," Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt said.
"Bobby was a loyal, hardworking member of the Kansas City Chiefs franchise and served as the team's equipment manager for more than two decades. Bobby was with the franchise in the beginning, starting with the Dallas Texans in 1960, before making the move to Kansas City in 1963. Both my brother, Lamar Jr., and I had the pleasure of working directly for Bobby during our high school years as ball boys on his staff for Chiefs Training Camp at William Jewell College. He made many contributions to the organization over his tenure and his efforts will never be forgotten. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this time."

In his weekly Monday Morning QB post for SI.com, Peter King threw out this bon mot:
"Speaking of stars available in free agency, one scout told me the other day: "I am scared to death of (Kansas City wide out) Dwayne Bowe. Like him a lot, but not sure what we'd be buying if we signed him. Too much baggage'."
Last time I looked, Bowe had not picked up any new baggage in some time. He's kept his personality under control and he's been a good teammate, as well as being one of the AFC's better receivers. Whether it comes from the Chiefs or some other team, and whether it doesn't come from that scout's team, Bowe is going to score on this contract.

Mike Wallace finished the 2012 season with 64 receptions, totaling 836 yards (13.1 avg) and eight TDs for the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, as reported in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette below, those appear to be his last stats, before leaving the Steel City, citing both sides likely to "part ways."
"It's been the consensus all along, but this is an indication the Steelers are not expected to have a change-of-heart with regards to their No. 1 receiver. Wallace is believed to have turned down a five-year extension worth roughly $50 million before signing his $2.7 million restricted free agent tender last summer. According to beat writer Ed Bouchette, Wallace's holdout "turned off" members of the Steelers' coaching staff and front office."

Ranking the top 10 available players at positions of need for the Chiefs, who have the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft:
1. Dee Milliner, CB, Alabama. Why not a cornerback with the top overall choice? The Chiefs need one to pair with Brandon Flowers, and Milliner is the best one available.
2. Star Lotulelei, DT, Utah. Fans might be weary of the Chiefs drafting at this position, but Kansas City will need some help here, particularly if Glenn Dorsey departs as a free agent.
3. Geno Smith, QB, West Virginia. The Chiefs have to solve their quarterback problem one way or another.
