Good morning! Here is today's Kansas City Chiefs news. Enjoy!

Daboll Adjusts Chiefs' Offensive Plans To Fit Quinn from KC Star

Chiefs offensive coordinator Brian Daboll didn't have to spend much time this week trying to figure out what new starting quarterback Brady Quinn does and doesn't do well.

Quinn started nine games with Daboll as the coordinator in 2009 when the two were together with the Browns. That experience, plus this year's offseason practices and last week's game against Tampa Bay, give Daboll a good idea of not only Quinn's strengths and weaknesses, but also the differences from former starter Matt Cassel.

Raiders To Bring Different Look To Arrowhead from KC Star

In the wake of the death of longtime owner and franchise icon Al Davis, the Oakland Raiders went through a massive front-office overhaul during the offseason. They hired a general manager, Reggie McKenzie, from the Green Bay Packers and a head coach, Dennis Allen, from the Denver Broncos.

So the Raiders will bring a different look to Arrowhead Stadium for Sunday's game against the Chiefs.

Chiefs-Raiders Scouting Report from KC Star

This is a winnable game for the Chiefs, but when in the last five years hasn't their home game against Oakland been within reach? It's difficult to picture the Chiefs being strong enough to take advantage. To win, they will have to minimize the damage by Oakland's strong defensive front, prevent the Raiders from winning big on special teams and get solid play from Quinn. The way this season has gone, do you really expect the Chiefs to get all of that done? Prediction: Raiders 23, Chiefs 16.

Quarterback To The Future from ESPN

Kansas City must draft a capable quarterback. How something so simple could prove to be so difficult explains why the Chiefs are in the position they are in today.

Which is this: Kansas City is now commemorating an unhappy 25th anniversary with an accomplishment franchises can't try to make happen.

It has been 25 years since a quarterback the Chiefs drafted led Kansas City to a win. A quarter-century!

Chiefs Game Preview vs. Raiders: Analysis, Prediction, TV Info from CBS Sports

For the first time all year, the Chiefs are finally healthy. It's tough to blame how bad they have been on injuries, but injuries have at least contributed to the mess in Kansas City. RB Peyton Hillis returning to the lineup should help lighten the load on Jamaal Charles, who has 96 touches in the last four games. The Chiefs have gone to an uber-conservative offensive approach in the last two games, but the numbers say it's probably better to try to attack Oakland through the air. The Raiders rank 12th against the run (102.1 yards per game) and 22nd against the pass (254.7 yards per game).

Five NFL Trades We'd Like To See from USA Today

Dwayne Bowe to the Cincinnati Bengals: He never did get the long-term deal he wanted and was forced to settle for the $9.5 million franchise tag in a city he apparently wants to leave. But the Bengals have the cap room to pay a player like Bowe long-term and, more important, they could clearly use a bona fide wingman to complement A.J. Green. Bowe isn't a transcendent talent, but his size and ability to move the chains would perfectly mesh with the field-stretching Green, who was essentially erased last week by the Pittsburgh Steelers, who didn't seem to fear Andy Dalton's other options. Meanwhile, Kansas CIty Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli, who already has a Bowe clone in Jonathan Baldwin, could get a nice parting gift for the free-agent-to-be ... assuming Pioli's still around to shape the roster in 2013.

The Kansas City Chiefs hope an underachieving former first-round pick can help turn around their disappointing season - or at least finally lead them to a home win.

Brady Quinn makes his second straight start Sunday when the Chiefs look to avoid a sixth consecutive home loss to the Oakland Raiders, who are still searching for their first road win.

Lost In Tebowmania A Year Ago, Brady Quinn Gets Chance To Turn Around The Chiefs from Yahoo! Sports

"It was pretty surprising, to be honest with you," Quinn said earlier this week. "We were competing over the bye week, but Matt got most of the reps. So I was surprised, but excited about it, for my career."

Quinn, who turns 28 on Saturday, hopes to revive a career that stalled in Cleveland, where he arrived as the Browns' homegrown savior-in-waiting five years ago, and got swallowed up by Tebowmania in Denver last season.

Game Preview: Raiders At Chiefs from Raiders.com

Despite a 1-5 record, the Chiefs are still in the top half of the league in defense. "From a defensive standpoint, these guys really fly to the ball," said Coach Knapp. "They had a tough game against Tampa Bay, but outside of that you see 11 hats go to the ball. They've got good athletic speed. They're very talented. They've got six first-round picks on the starting 11 on defense. I see a very talented defense."

NFL Week 8: Ravens Need A Lot More Than A Band-Aid For Their Defense from Sporting News

The Chiefs must keep hammering away at the Raiders with the run Sunday even if yards are difficult to come by early in the game. That very well could be the case because Oakland's front has frequently dominated Kansas City's line in recent meetings between the teams. But the Chiefs can't place a heavy burden on quarterback Brady Quinn and a struggling passing game, so they have to keep beating on the Raiders with Jamaal Charles and Peyton Hillis, who could return this week from an ankle injury. Many of Kansas City's most underachieving players (Dexter McCluster, Tony Moeaki, Jonathan Baldwin) are receivers.

Trade Talk All Talk For Seahawks from The Tacoma News Tribune

The NFL extended its trade deadline by two weeks this year, from the Tuesday following Week 6 until the Tuesday following Week 8. So there's time for the Seahawks to swing a deal - 11 days - but I doubt they'll be active.

Acquiring somebody like Bowe would require them to surrender future draft picks, and future draft picks are a more coveted commodity in the NFL than actual players, even those who are proven.

Still, there have been a few October surprises over the years.

Final Word AFC West from ESPN

Sunday's game against Oakland will be the Chiefs' first game at Arrowhead Stadium since Oct. 7, when right tackle Eric Winston, in his first year in Kansas City, went off on some fans for what he said was cheering when then-starting quarterback Matt Cassel went down with a concussion...

...I think Winston may get a smattering of boos Sunday, but many fans may be willing to put the situation behind them and are ready to cheer for Cassel's replacement, Brady Quinn, in his first start at home with Kansas City.

With A Win Over Chiefs, Raiders Would Be AFC West Contenders from NBC Bay Area

The 2-4 Raiders go into Kansas City to play the 1-5 Chiefs on Sunday, and a victory would put Oakland at 3-4, meaning that if the 3-3 Chargers (who play the Browns Monday night) and 3-3 Broncos (who host the Saints Sunday night) lose, there would be a three-way tie atop the division with still nine games to play.

If the Chiefs knock off Oakland, however, the Raiders and K.C. would be tied at the bottom.

Panic Setting In For Some Teams from ESPN

And for the Kansas City Chiefs, their game against the Oakland Raiders is their season. They are 1-5 and have switched to Brady Quinn at quarterback. It didn't make sense to bring back Matt Cassel at quarterback when the restless fans don't respect him. The Chiefs have lost five consecutive games at home against the Raiders. Losing a sixth could cost them some of their fan base.

Durkin: Week 8 NFL Picks from CBS Chicago

If bad football is your drug, this game is like a weekend in Amsterdam. It's devolved to Brady Quinn in Kansas City, so brown paper bags over the heads of Arrowhead faithful aren't that far away. The Raiders? They needed injuries to Blaine Gabbert and MJD to pull off a win at home against the Jaguars. Shockingly, the Chiefs are worse than the Jaguars, so give me the Raiders on the road.
