jobsDB, the fastest job-search engine in the Philippines, and the Unlad International Inc. today signed an agreement that will involve organizing an innovative project that aims to provide quality career opportunities for some 80,000 Filipinos.

In the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) that was signed at Discovery Suites in Ortigas, jobsDB Philippines and Unlad International will organize a job fair dubbed “Unlad Kabuhayan”. It is scheduled from January 24 to 26, 2014 at the SMX Convention, Mall of Asia Grounds, Pasay City.

The Unlad Kabuhayan Jobs Fair will feature more than 200 exhibitors representing companies belonging to different sectors, and the event expects to be attended by more than 80,000 participants. The program will also include a career convention that will feature notable speakers and career-guide experts who will be announced later on.

Both organizations share a passion for empowering jobseekers and helping people advance their careers. Unlad International is a non-government organization with a long-term sustainable livelihood program that aims to equip every Filipino with tools to ultimately fight poverty and sustain his growth thereafter. One of their many efforts in doing so is the two Unlad garment factories in Dasmariñas, Cavite, and Palayan, Nueva Ecija, which continuously give employment opportunities to 2,000 people.

Unlad International also just recently launched an eco-farming in Nueva Era, Agusan Del Norte, and held the May K sa Pag-unlad seminar series that gave free education to 5,000 graduates with the help from 250 mentor volunteers. Other projects like the Ultimate Kitchen Challenge 2013, Tatak Unlad Family Hobbies Summit, Tatak Unlad Fashionista and Tatak Unlad Kiddopreneur Summit drove further empowerment for Filipinos.

Unified Livelihood and Advocacy for Development Inc. International ( UnLad International Inc ) is a long term livelihood program which aims to equip individuals with tools to fight poverty and sustain growth thereafter. The cycle of sustainability will be supported by the Mentorship program wherein those who have entered into the UnLad program and have eventually succeeded should go back into the program as a mentor and help back more individuals who will duplicate the process. This pay-it-forward system ( giving back to the community the good things that you have received – in part or as a whole ) will allow more people to rise above poverty, more people to rise above economic stagnation and more people to achieve greater heights in success. Achieving this pay-it-forward system is indicative in the achievement of FULL CIRCLE – a key success indicator of the program.

In the upcoming Unlad Kabuhayan Trade Expo and Summit, Unlad Intl Inc aims to strengthen its promotion of entrepreneurship among budding entrepreneurs and provide employment opportunities for those who are not yet ready to be entrepreneurs. For the entrepreneurship objective of the expo and summit, the event aims to exhibit 1,000 booths featuring SMEs , promote new business ideas through Tatak Unlad Inventor Summit, promote entrepreneurship culture among the youth through the Kiddopreneur Summit and Likha sa Pag-unlad T-short Design Competition, promote entrepeneurship and bonding among families though Tatak Unlad Family Hobbies, undertake more training programs and showcase success stories through the tatak Unlad Entrepreneurship Convention. It also aims to showcase culinary skills of UK scholars through the Ultimate Kitchen Challenge. Creativity and business sense is the ultimate objective of the summit which it aims to achieve through its various programs.
