Picture the most glamorous catwalk you have even seen, inside the prestigious Millennium Hotel in Knightsbridge. Add stars, dancers, music and the most inspirational stories you have ever heard (along with some of the more inspirational people you have ever seen) and you have the Wear it For Autism (WIFA) fashion show – the brainchild of Anna Kennedy OBE. Anna herself is perhaps one of the most warm and personable people you could wish to meet, along with being funny, talented and a stone cold fox. Believe me, the photos speak for themselves.

As an ‘Autism mum’ myself I could go on all year about the amazing stories and the good works Anna’s charity does. 15 years ago she set up a school for children with Autism when she couldn’t access a workable education for her two sons, who are on the Autistic Spectrum. Hillingdon Manor has just had it’s 15th ‘birthday’ party and is still going strong. It is a haven for the children who attend and the families that often have to desperately fight for support. Anna did not stop there and has been raising awareness and funds for Autism based endeavors ever since.
But this post is about the clothes. I have much more to come on Anna Kennedy Online (Anna’s charity) and Models of Diversity who supported and dazzled at the event, and who I am a HUGE advocate for. At the end of the show everyone involved took to the stage and gave us some real energy.
The room was buzzing and it was a perfect end to a magical and seriously stylish evening.
As for me, I think the smile on my face says it all.
