This pretty little amulet bag was created by weaving together Ceylon violet, Ceylon white, lined shimmering crystal lavender and rainbow iris purple Delicas into an original pattern based on the Roman "key" pattern. The necklace is also made up of the same Delicas plus crystal rainbow twisted bugle beads and Czech glass beads.

There are over 1,400 beads in the amulet bag alone and they are woven together one bead at a time with needle and thread using the peyote beadweaving technique. It's a time consuming but beautiful way to beadweave and the result is a gorgeous "cloth" made of beads.

The amulet bag measures 1.6" (4cm) by 1.25" (3.3cm) and the necklace is 28" (71cm) in length.

Did you know that well-made beadwoven jewelry can be very durable as evidenced by highly-valued vintage beadwork available in the antiques market? Given the same care you take with your fine jewelry, bead woven jewelry can last a lifetime!
