It seems that no one will be facing the champ at the Desert Force 19 co-headliner as Mounir Lazzez posts the above photo of himself on social media fresh-off a surgery to his arm.
Following Jarrah Al Selawe’s injury a few weeks back, this is the last thing that Desert Force fans needed. The Sniper’s title defense has been struck down yet again, as Lazzez will be forced to withdraw due to an arm injury suffered in training after his latest encounter with Mohammad Ghorabi.
The Lazzez/Selawe scrap was slated to be Desert Force 19′s co-headliner. As things stand now, the fights locked down for the main card are Mohammad Ouji vs Osama Saidi, 77kgs Al academiya finalists Ahmed Labban vs Otman Najae, and the 84kgs Academiya Finalists Abdelrahman Dridi vs Ala’a Mansour.
In addition, the live card will be headlined by a middleweight title headliner between head coaches Ibrahim El Sawi and Mohammad Karaki, marking the Al Academiya season 3 finale.
Desert Force 19 takes place in Cairo this December and is a few weeks away.
