Some websites just make me giddy. That’s what I love about design. They say it only takes a few seconds to make a first impression and I definitely feel something the moment I visit a site. Of course, a lot goes into a blog – a good logo, great photos photos, etc – but it helps when you start with a great WordPress theme.
Here are 5 adorable blogs that I’ve come across recently and the WordPress themes that power them.
1. The Proper PinWheel
The Proper PinWheel is an adorably cute blog with tuns of DIY projects, curated finds, decor and other lifestyle posts from blog owner – Lexy. Lexy does a great job with her photos and post banners and is running the Pastiche theme by Blogzilla.

2. The Girl Creative
Girl Creative is another adorable blog run by the crafty Diana. Tuns of DIY projects, printables and recipes in this cute blog. Diana’s WordPress theme shows her older posts in an editorial style and uses the Category Grid View Gallery Plugin to show her posts from different categories in a thumbnail view (like here). The adorable WordPress theme can be found on Creative Market from Restored316.

3. Love From Ginder
Love from Ginger immediately caught my eye with her cute illustrated logo. She carries those colours through to her social media links too. The WordPress theme itself is just a simple grey, black and white which balances perfectly with these splashes of colour and vibrant photos she uses in her posts. Another theme from Blogzilla runs this adorable WordPress blog!

4. Modern Wife Style
The first thing you’ll notice about Modern Wife Style is her fabulous banner across the top of her site. Modern Wife – Katrín Björk – is a professional photographer so her images are quite amazing. Her food photos in particular look delicious. I’m a fan of her colours and feel an off white background tends to bring a sense of warmth that goes well with lifestyle blogs.

5. The Simply Living Blog
Simply Living is a tag team effort between two long time friends – Hannah and Suruchi. A cute lifestyle blog full of curated lists, travel, recipes and musings. They are running a free WordPress theme by Mammasuraus.
