In addition to the bird descriptions and images the app presents an ornithological dictionary with almost 300 special terms and their explanations as well as high-quality drawings and explanations of bird anatomy and topology in English and Spanish.
The current app contains all available description details of 3,041 bird species. In order to keep the app size to a reasonable limit for downloading the app code, no pictures are included when you download the app from the store. You can download the available pictures from an external source at any time.
The first version of the app contains more than 800 bird images, there will be monthly updates until all images are included. The images are downloaded from an external server using a function inside the app, there are no new versions of the app required.
