muscle mass to prevent falls and other injuries. Seniors lose muscle

mass at a much higher rate than younger adults. This loss can lead to

injuries and illnesses. Seniors should try to get protein through as

many sources as possible.

Fish is especially suitable for seniors. Fish is high in DHA, which

could lower the onset of Alzheimer’s. It also contains Omega-3 fatty

acids that might keep your heart healthy.

Vegetables allow seniors to eat more with fewer calories. They are

also a perfect replacement for other snacks. You can always slice

vegetables and use low calorie dips and salad dressing to replace

potato chips and other fatty snacks. Just like fruit, most vegetables

are full of fiber and antioxidants.

ï Exercise – Exercise can help keep seniors fit, it can make their

muscles stronger, and it can help give them a better appetite.

all about a balance of diet and exercise that can help them the most.

However, you also need to understand that other medical conditions

might be causing your loved one to resist food. Talk about nutritional
