AirPrint allows Toshiba e-STUDIO users to print wirelessly from iPad, iPhone, iPod, and iPod touch devices
Toshiba TEC (TOKYO:6588), the global leaders in printing and imaging products, solutions and services, today announced that its e-STUDIO2550C/2551C/5055C series of multifunction products (MFPs) now support Apple Inc.’s AirPrint wireless printing offering.
AirPrint allows Toshiba customers to wirelessly print business documents and images from their iPad, iPhone, iPod, and iPod touch devices to any of the company’s e-STUDIO2550C/2551C/5055C series products without the need to install any application or printer driver.
iPad or iPhone devices running on iOS 4.2 or one of Apple’s more recent operating systems while integrating at least 3GS technology and iPod touch products using the company’s third generation technology are capable of sending wireless print commands to the aforementioned e-STUDIO models via AirPrint.
To enhance customer satisfaction, Toshiba will soon expand its range of e-STUDIO products that support AirPrint.
To meet the increasing print needs for a mobile workforce while complementing Toshiba’s e-BRIDGE Print & Capture application for Android users, those with mobile Apple devices – featuring iOS 4.2 or later – may now print to an e-STUDIO2550C/2551C/5055C series product within any wireless office environment.
