Google Calendar has arrived for iPhone users. First announced late last year, the app unsurprisingly ties in with a number of other Google services.
But as a nice touch, the app will work with other calendar types including iCloud and Exchange.

Easily my favorite feature of the app is the ability to turn information from your Gmail account, like flight, hotel, concert, and restaurant reservations, automatically into calendar events.
With a new schedule view, youll be able to see whats on the calendar along with maps and photos of the places youre going. And thanks to the assists feature, you’ll see smart suggestions for event titles, places, and people as the information is entered into the calendar.
The app also features the Material Design language present in a number of other Google iOS apps like Maps.
Designed for the iPhone/iPod touch, Google Calendar can be downloaded now on the App Store for free.
While Google Calendar looks nice, I dont know if it has enough features to convince me to give up my favorite calendar app Fantastical 2. While Fantastical 2 may not be as well designed, its powerful features and integration with the native iOS Reminders app, continues to make it a winner in my book.
