Event Description:
WMI has several group hiking trips planned in the fall for anyone interested! Join us in Kananaskis, Canmore and Banff National Park for day hikes on Saturday and Sunday for the following weekends:
September 8/9 – Women Only (Beginner both days) Cost: $10 per day OR $15 for overnight*
No Refunds
*extra costs for accommodation will be handled separately
Day hikes are beginner to intermediate full-day hikes (6-8 hrs) for anyone who would like to try out hiking or has hiked before.
You need to be in average cardiovascular shape (i.e. can hike comfortably on varied terrain, carrying a 20-25L pack) and must have hiking gear (boots/shoes, pack, warm clothing, waterproof jacket, blister/first aid kits).
Everyone is responsible for their own packing, equipment, food, park passes and transportation out to the trailhead (by 9:00am).
You’re welcome to come for both days, or just one. Equipment rentals are available at Mountain Equipment Co-op or the Calgary Outdoor Centre. All hikes will happen rain or shine.
