Event Description:
Former Wall Streeter, New Jerseyian, and current champion of corporate responsibility on Latino issues comes to Philadelphia on November 12 to discuss how corporate boards can achieve greater inclusion and participation among executive leadership.
Previously ranked as the #1 equity financial analyst in his field by Forbes, Cid Wilson is the current President & CEO of HACR (Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility).
As the leader of HACR, Wilson focuses on Latino inclusion in corporate America. "Only 3% of all Fortune 500 board seats are held by Latinos, less than 1% by Latinas. We believe that more can be done to improve Hispanic inclusion at the corporate board level."
With a commitment towards public service, Wilson was appointed by President Barack Obama to the National Museum of the American Latino Study Commission, which is driven towards the creation of a new Smithsonian Museum on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.
A Dominican American, Wilson’s service to the Latino community is also exemplified by his roles in the Latino Justice PRLDEF (formerly the Puerto Rican Legal Defense & Education Fund), the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), and Dominicans on Wall Street.
He is the former national president of the Dominican American National Roundtable (DANR), former vice chairman of the Board of Trustees for Bergen Community College, a former trustee ambassador to the New Jersey Council of County Colleges, a former member of the Association of Community College Trustees’ (ACCT) National Board of Directors, and a Gold Life Member of the NAACP.
Join us for a dialogue on diversity at the board level as we host the CEO of the national organization advocating for corporate responsibility and inclusion in the U.S.
Registration is required, as seating is limited. Check-in begins at 11:30am, and our program will begin promptly at 12pm.
This event is supported by Independence Blue Cross and PHLDiversity.
