Event Description:
This tour has been designed to allow you to take in some of the most iconic sights in Italy. Tour includes Milan, Lake Como, the Arena in Verona, St Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace in Venice, Murano's famous glass, the Rialto Bridge over the Grand Canal, The Duomo of Florence, Palazzo Vecchio and the Palazzi's of Florence, the Rolling Hills of Tuscany, Pisa's Famous Tower, Siena in its Medieval glory, Imperial Rome, the Colosseum, the Vatican and it's treasure's, the Spanish Steps, the Gardens at Tivoli, Mt Vesuvius, the Ruins of Pompeii, the breath-taking Bay of Naples, Magical Capri and the Best of Naples.
Then there is the food and wine that Italy is rightly famous for. The restaurants have been chosen with different styles of food in mind, allowing a full cross section of Italian food - from north to south, land to sea. Two excellent winery tours will also offer guests the chance to learn more about the different wine styles of Italy as well as the chance to purchase with delivery in the USA included.
Free time and the ability to explore on your own has also been incorporated into the tour, with plenty of evenings free to wander (in less crowded streets) to get coffee with tiramisu or your favorite gelato.
There will also be time to indulge in shopping in both Florence and Rome. Your guide will be there with plenty of suggestions for you to do during these periods.

Sept 4- Travel Day- Airline and flight info TBA
Sept 5- We’ll arrive in Milan in the morning and be picked up from the airport. From there, we’ll enjoy a City Tour en-route to the hotel. You’ll then get to enjoy the day on your own and let your imagination guide you in exploring the city.
Sept 6- Get ready for the majestic beauty of Lake Como. We’ll travel to see one of the most beautiful areas in all of Italy, painted with lake and mountain views. We’ll stay over night at a local hotel.
Sept 7- Depart hotel after breakfast and travel to Verona. See one of the best and most intact Roman Arenas’s still in existence. Walk the streets that inspired Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet . Continue to Venice (Mestre). Overnight stay in Venice.(Mestre) at Hotel Leonardo Da Vinci.
Sept 8- Venice. A full day to explore all of the charms of Venice. Murano, St Mark’s Square, The Doge’s Palace and of course, The Canals. Overnight stay in Venice. (Mestre) at Hotel Leonardo Da Vinci or equivalent.
Sept 9- Depart Venice and travel to Padua. Spend time over lunch and visit La Basilica di sant’Antonio. From there we’ll continue to Florence with a guided afternoon walking tour of the city. We’ll spend the night in Florence, with a family style dinner included at Osteria del Gatto e la Volpe.
Sept 10- Florence. Explore the city that gave birth to The Renaissance via hop on hop off bus. Visit The Duomo, The Uffizi and The Academia Galleries. Great shopping and endless food options. Overnight Florence.
Sept 11- Day trip San Gimignano and Pisa. San Gimignano is one of the most picturesque hilltop villages in Italy. After a stop for a 4 course tasting lunch at a winery we will continue to Pisa to view it’s famous tower. Lunch included at Tetuta Torciano.
Sept 12- Depart Florence and travel to Siena, with it’s famous square, Campo and Basilica. After lunch we’ll visit Altesino Winery to tour their cellars and wine making facilities before tasting some of their fantastic wines. Overnight Rome at Hotel Universo.
Sept 13- Rome Hop on hop off tour and Vatican Museum entry and tour included. There will also be ample time to visit The Colosseum and the ancient ruins of Imperial Rome in the city center. Overnight Rome at Hotel Universo.
Sept 14- Depart Rome for visit to Tivoli Gardens before heading further south to Pompeii. Guided tour of Pompeii ruins with a local guide. Overnight Sorrento at Hotel Ulysses.
Sept 15- Capri Day Trip from Sorrento. Boat Trip around Capri with stop at famous Blue Grotto included. Lunch in Anacapri included. Overnight Sorrento at Hotel Ulysses.
Sept 16- Naples. Visit the Old Naples by the water. The Royal Palace, Teatro San Carlo, Piazza del Plebiscito and Old Fort. Afternoon to Rome. Overnight Rome at Hotel Universo, farewell dinner included.
Sept 17- Depart Rome. Transfer from Hotel to Airport for departure.
