Berlin, June 1 2015 - nestpick, the online rental platform changing the way we rent, is going global today, announcing their launch in Sydney and Melbourne. The platform offers the solution for a younger generation of tenants who want to move abroad with ease and access local housing markets securely, conveniently and completely online. This process creates a new standard in the rental market. In an increasingly globalised world, young people require a convenient, trustworthy rental environment when finding a new home either locally or from afar. nestpick achieves this through moving the entire booking transaction online, from choosing the property until payment removing the need to visiting in person. Now, landlords in nine countries across two continents can list their mid to long-term properties on the platform for free, with tenants paying a one-time fee of 25% of the first month’s rent. To celebrate the launch, the platform will offer a special 50% discount off the booking fee for the next week. The internet is closing the gap Europe and Australia are separated by a continent, the Indian Ocean and more than 15,000 kilometres. The Australian rental market is one of the most competitive in the world. Prior to the internet, the only way of finding a home was to travel to your new city, stay in temporary accommodation, attend viewings and often pay high agency fees. The nestpick team is international in nature meaning many members have experienced this struggle firsthand. By making it possible to book entirely online in a transparent environment prior to departure, the internet narrows the distance, rendering it a non-existent issue. The platform will allow Australians moving to Europe and vice versa the opportunity to book properties that have been verified through nestpick’s network of professional photographers, so what the tenant books online is a true reflection of the reality they find on arrival to their new city.
