Job Title: Cable TV Sales Engineer
Location: Austin, TX or North East United States
Reports to: Sales Organization
Responsibilities
Responding to Cable TV requests for proposals and opportunities with new and existing higher education and multi-tenant housing clients.
Perform physical walk-throughs of potential client sites and determine physical plant suitability for the specific video product services being evaluated.
Provide reports to management on the findings of the walk-throughs and proposal evaluation to give guidance on costs, financial opportunity and risk for the Cable TV proposal or evaluation.
Manage completely the content provider vendors and understand their offerings, changes and support for their multi-tenant offerings.
Assist in on-site support of existing Cable TV clients, working with Apogee Field Services group and/or locally sourced Cable TV contract technicians.
Provide reports to management on the multi-tenant Cable TV product as requested. For example changes in IP video offering and managing the evaluation of content delivery options, online options like HBO Go and/or ESPN 360.
Qualifications
Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
Mastery of the suite of MS Office product that will allow for independent cost and opportunity modeling in Excel and independent creation of edited and ready for submission RFP responses in MS Word.
Professional demeanor and presence with the ability to earn the respect of coworkers through the mastery of the subject matter.
Logical analytical skills process that can be presented to small to medium sized groups in an open meeting setting.
Technical understanding of the physical infrastructure requirements and limitations needed to deliver Cable TV Content over a fiber/coax physical plant.
Compensation
Target Compensation at $80,000 – 75% base / 25% incentive compensation based on new sales.
