The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon is on a State Visit to India. This is the sixth visit of President Rahmon to India.
Emomali Rahmon, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Hyderabad House in New Delhi today. He was given a ceremonial reception at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The two countries are holding delegation-level talks on various issues of mutual and international interest. After the talks, the two sides are expected to sign agreements in various fields. President Rahmon arrived in New Delhi yesterday after visiting Kochi. The visiting dignitary is on a five day visit to India from 14th of this month.
Bilateral relations span cooperation in a wide spectrum of areas – political, economic, health, human resources development, defence, counter-terrorism, science and technology, culture and tourism.
