Mumbai : His Excellency Dr. Ali Mohammed Shein, President of Zanzibar & Chairman of the Revolutionary council (Zanzibar), today visited the ultra modern Manufacturing facility of Everest Spices (makers of Everest 
masala), a leading manufacturer and distributor of spices in Mumbai.
He was given a warm welcome on his arrival by Mr. Vadilal Shah, Chairman together with Mr. Sanjaav Shah & Mr. Rajeev Shah, Executive directors, Everest spices.
In his address, Dr. Ali Mohammed Shein said, ‘ He is happy to be in India and expressed his gratitude for the hospitality offered by Indian authorities and entrepreneurs during his visit’. He said, India and Zanzibar enjoy historically a close relationship marked by centuries old presence of Indian diaspora in Zanzibar Islands. He felt that his visit to india would go a long way to further the trade and cultural relations between the two nations which is expected to strengthen the development partnership between India and Zanzibar, within the framework of India’s close bilateral relationship with the United Republic of Tanzania.
Mr. Sanjeev Shah, Executive director, Everest spices said, ‘The visit of the President Dr. Ali Mohammed will have a long lasting impact on the bilateral trade between India and Tanzania and we at Everest Spices are happy to be a partner in this memorable visit of the President. India is a leading trade partner of Tanzania as well as an important source of essential machinery and pharmaceutical products many of the top business establishments of Tanzania are owned by members of Indian origin. India continues to be one of the largest sources of Tanzania as imports from india for the last three consecutive years’.
Dr. Shein is on an official visit to India from February 1 to February 9 at the Invitation of Vice President Hamid Ansari. He is leading a delegation comprising of senior Ministers and officials. Prior to Mumbai, he visited Hyderabad and Bangalore and held meeting with industry and business leaders of Tanzanian community.
