Why hundreds of thousands of Pakistanis are protesting against the tyrant reign of Nawaz Sharif and raising slogans like #GoNawazGo?Hundreds of thousands of people of #Pakistan are on streets, demanding immediate resignation of Nawaz Sharif and his government and demanding revolutionary changes in Pakistan. This movement is being led by Pakistan Awami Tehreek's (#PAT)'s Chairman Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (#PTI)'s Chairman Imran Khan. Both have slightly different demands but overall objective is a better Pakistan. Under their leaderships people of #Pakistan are peacefully protesting and have been in a historic sit-in for the past several weeks in Islamabad, Pakistan. Dr. Qadri has given a comprehensive vision of a prosperous Pakistan where people could get all the rights as promised by the constitution of the country. Here is an online link to the book that summarizes Dr. Qadri's Vision for Green Revolution in Pakistan: The Vision for Green Revolution in Pakistan by Dr Tahir ul Qadri - Pakistan Awami Tehreek are some of the facts due to which people have now come out on streets for the protest. Most of these points have been abstracted from the recent speeches of #DrQadri:1. Elections that were held in May 2013 in Pakistan are the most controversial elections in the history of the country. There is not a single party who has alleged the elections as being rigged. There are hundreds of evidences of pre-poll rigging as well as polling day rigging that several media channels in Pakistan have highlighted. Also hundreds of cell phone camera videos taken by ordinary people are being shared in social media. All of them pointing out to a massive scale of rigging during the elections. 2. Nawaz Sharif and his family members have been alleged of several mega scale corruptions in their earlier tenure as Prime Minister of Pakistan and Chief Minster of Punjab. This video provides a glimpse of such allegations: Nawaz Sharif Corruption - From Pakistan to Park Lane (via Ilford) - YouTube. Some incidents of corruption have also been highlighted by Raymond W. Baker in his book, “Capitalism's Achilles Heel: Dirty Money and How to Renew the Free-Market System”. Here is a link of a blog providing glimpse from Mr. Baker’s book. http://pkpolitics.com/discuss/topic/...if-corruption3. Constitution of Pakistan clearly demands that Government is responsible for providing basic human necessities and human rights to the citizens of Pakistan, however majority of the citizens of Pakistan have been deprived of their basic rights and many live below poverty line. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.4. Children are deprived of education – Pakistan is worse than Ethiopia, Nigeria, India, China and Philippines per UNESCO 2014. People question whether this is democracy? T This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.5. 75% children are not attending school in Baluchistan province, one of the four provinces in Pakistan. Education is on the decline. The government has NOT taken any action. There is only one university in the entire province of Baluchistan province which has a population of 6.6 million. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.6. There is immoral utilization of public funds - Pakistan fell from 105 to 119 per UNESCO 2014 results. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.7. Pakistan slipped down to the 133rd position in 2014 from 92nd in 2008 in ranking among 148 countries on the Global Competitiveness Index (CGI) of the World Economic Forum due to bad governance, nepotism, and corruption. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.8. Healthcare facilities for the ordinary Pakistanis are extremely poor. Child mortality rate in Pakistan is among the highest in the World. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.9. Total Foreign debt on Pakistan is about $112 billion present. In the past 28 years, the foreign debt was $60 billion, but in the past 1 year, an extra $52 billion was added to the foreign debt. These loans were NOT used for the welfare of the people; rather, they were used by the leaders to build their own business empires in foreign countries. There is a big question who is going to pay these debts? It takes generations to pay back this debt of $112 billion that these rulers and their families have eaten. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.10. In 2013-2014, 350 children in Sindh province (another province in Pakistan) died due to measles and hunger. This is worse than Africa. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.11. In July 2014, Ladkana, Sindh province, women from a women's shelter, were sold to thieves. The government does nothing to protect innocent civilians. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.12. On the 25th of May, 2014, in Khayrpoor, Sindh province, thugs robbed homes and gang raped their women. Four months have passed and even their FIR has not been registered. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.13. In the Thar area of Sindh province, 350 children died because of hunger and poor health and the Government has done nothing. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.14. In Sindh province, minorities are unsafe and are moving out. Christians are unsafe. Temples of Hindus have been burnt. Life and property are not safe. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.15. In Sindh province, 20,000 civilians have been abducted within 3 months. The government has NOT taken ANY action. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.16. In Karachi, the hub of Pakistan, target killing and suicide bombing is a normal event. The government has NOT taken any action. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.17. There are many communities that have been victim of persecution and violence, one of the prominent community among them is Hazara community in Quetta, Pakistan. At least 3,000 Hazara men, women and children have lost their lives and more than 5000 have been injured in Quetta in recent years. In Quetta, due to terroristic attack, several thousand people were killed and people were sitting outside with the dead bodies of their beloveds to get righteous judgment and nothing happened. Pakistanis question, are the people of Hazara not human? When law and order becomes helpless, people question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are out and demanding for revolutionary changes.18. Every years, in Baluchistan province, countless people were killed in terrorist attacks. The government has NOT taken any action. Since the last two years, terrorist activity has reached its maximum in Baluchistan province, and kidnapping for money is also at its height. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.19. Personal interest is interfering with democracy. One out of several examples is that the Governor of Baluchistan province has many family members in the government. His brother is the MNA (Member of National Assembly), another brother is a minister, and a sister in law is an MPA (Member of Provincial Assembly). People question where is the budget of Baluchistan province going if it is not being spent in improving the province, the living conditions, the education, the health, and the rights of the people living there. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.20. Personal vested interest of current rulers is in conflict with the constitution. Constitution is under control of these immoral rulers. Other departments are not allowed to independently function. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are out and demanding for revolutionary changes. Law has totally failed and there is massive conflict of interest, and vested political and personal interest and corruption are in conflict with constitution and law and order. 21. There is no true law and system, because law and system is under the control of these rulers. No judiciary, no institution, and no law is free or allowed to work independently, according to law and constitution. This is unconstitutional, unlawful, and undemocratic behavior. People question whether this is democracy? This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.22. People of Pakistan question the people of USA, UK, France, Germany, and the other European and democratic countries around the world: if these kind of brutal incidents occurred in your countries and the government had allowed it, what would have people done? In developed countries, would it be ever possible for the presidents to stay in power if such things happened? Would not the system had impeached the president for the sake of democracy, constitution, and human rights. But here in Pakistan, these unconstitutional rulers have not resigned yet despite the brutality they have imposed. This is one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes.23. People of Pakistan address to the highly honorable ambassadors, their representatives, academic think tanks, intellectuals, journalists, social media, and human rights organizations of the western world that despite all these hurdles, innocent unarmed citizens of Pakistan who are protesting against the unconstitutional system are still peaceful and non-violent. They are the embodiment of peace, unity, faith, and discipline. The law is not followed by the rulers and is thus unable to provide protection of lives and property to people. People question, under which law and constitution can these rulers be held accountable? Which law and court will give judgment to innocent, unarmed people who were killed, and which law will give justice to the 25,000 people who were trapped and made captives and have not been returned? Why are the members of parliament not recognizing the brutal killing, torture, and abduction of innocent people? There are some one of the reasons why people are demanding ousting of current Govt. led by Nawaz Sharif and other revolutionary changes. Because of above mentioned reasons, PAT's chairman Dr. Qadri has been democratically challenging the current corrupt political system and legitimacy of the Government, and has been peacefully challenging all the beneficiaries of the corrupt system who are enjoying top posts in the current government and demanding a #GreenRevolution. In response to Dr. Qadri's peaceful movement, corrupt Govt. and its representatives, in an effort to curb the movement, had organized a cowardly attack on innocent unarmed civilians on June 17, 2014 using their police force in uniform. They attacked at the central secretariat of Dr. Qadri’s organization PAT and also on his residence in Lahore Pakistan and directly fired and killed dozens of innocent people. Their only fault was that they challenged the corrupt system and demanded revolutionary changes. This video provides few glimpses from the heinous incident that is being remembered as Model Town Massacre. http://goo.gl/hHBMZwHere are some pictures that provide glimpse of the terrible attack: https://www.flickr.com/photos/minhaj...85127167/Below points summarizes the shocking attack:a. The worst incident in the history of the Pakistan was the brutal killings of innocent unarmed citizens including men, women, children and the elderly at the Minhaj-ul-Quran Secretariat Lahore on Monday, June 17, 2014. The innocent citizens of Pakistan were fired upon by the Punjab Police for resisting the removal of legally authorized barriers that were set 4 years ago, upon the orders of the High Court of Pakistan, for security reasons. The barriers were erected at the Secretariat and at the residence of the founder of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul Qadri, in the Model Town Extension area. Police, acting like state terrorists, killed 14 innocent civilians; many were abducted, and the 90 were injured and were denied necessary treatment. The police were hiding and not giving back dead bodies to families and many innocent captives are still in hospitals because they had been tortured by the police. The media broadcasted the police brutality and massacre of innocent citizen’s lives over the 14 hour police firing but didn't show any weapons in the hands of unarmed PAT (Pakistani Awami Tehreek) workers because there were no weapons hidden. This is yet another reason why people are out now and demanding justice and revolutionary changes.b. Everyone should remember the incident of model town, when thousands of policemen including 7 Superintendent Policemen, several Deputy Superintendent of Police, and several Deputy of Inspector General of Police, with their snipers and commandos, fired at more than 200 people, killed 14 innocent and unarmed people by straight firing, including 2 women (1 of whom was pregnant), and injured 90 people. If this were to happen in any democratic country, and the ruler allowed it to happen (it was Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif- who happens to be the brother of the Prime Minister - Nawaz Sharif, ordered the police to shoot at civilians - his telephonic conversation at the time of the incident was recorded and available to the media), people would force the corrupt ruler to step down. Since the incident happened 2 months ago, no FIR (First Information Report) has been registered because the rulers of Pakistan were involved in the killing; police is not allowed to fire without the order of the Chief Minister. This is yet another reason why people are out now and demanding justice and revolutionary changes.c. Recently, the session court judge has ordered to register the FIR from the complainant against the 21 people in power who were involved in the brutal killing, but despite the order of the judiciary, the FIR has not been registered. This is yet another reason why people are out now and demanding justice and revolutionary changes.d. A large number of lawyers went to the police station to register the FIR, after the order of the session court judge, but the police ran away. The lawyers waited for many hours but returned without being able to register the case. This is yet another reason why people are out now and demanding justice and revolutionary changes.e. The biggest fraud in the history of Pakistan is the inquiry about the model town incident. The tribunal was established, but the tribunal judge was not given the authority to exercise the order of registering the FIR from the complainant's side. On the 20th of June, 2014, the tribunal judge wrote a letter, according to the section 7 ordinance of Pakistan, requesting to authorize power to exercise the registration of the FIR. But the Home Minister, under the order of Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, refused in his reply on the 27th of June, 2014, and instead insisted to exercise the FIR that was registered by the police who attacked on the innocent civilians. This is yet another reason why people are out now and demanding justice and revolutionary changes.f. On Aug 10, 2014, thousands of people were commemorating the day of those innocent people who lost their lives in the Model Town massacre and were paying their tribute. The people who were coming for recitation of Quran were abducted and missing and 7 were killed; 25,000 have not returned home until this date, including women and men - God knows what is happening to their chastity; this is a despotic dictator rule. We want rule of constitution, rule of human rights, and rule of democracy. This is yet another reason why people are out now and demanding justice and revolutionary changes.g. Thousands of people who finally were able to make it to pay tribute to the deceased people despite the police abductions and attacks, were besieged in Model Town, Lahore, for 8 days, and they were not allowed to go outside for food, water, and medicine. Sitting out in blazing sun, they were banned from leaving the area. According to international law, even prisoners of war and captives are allowed to get food and medicine but 25,000 innocent Pakistani civilians were made hostage for 8 days. This is yet another reason why people are out now and demanding justice and revolutionary changes.h. There was a complete shutdown of the country - trenches were dug, containers were stolen from poor civilians were stolen without their consent. People question, where is democracy, law and constitution? Is this not a violation of constitution? And yet these rulers still claim there is rule of law. This is yet another reason why people are out now and demanding justice and revolutionary changes.
