This is a portrait of a happy American family. Both parents works during the weekdays and so their family time is concentrated on weeknights and weekends.

I photographed Tiffany + David’s wedding a few years back and it was such a treat to see them again and do a Day in the Life session for them, with their newest member of the family, Hazel.  There is always beauty in the simple things in life and this family shows that perfectly.  They start their day playing with Hazel on their bed, then off to cook her food, play with her constantly, whether it was time for changing of the diapers or just feeding her at the different times of the days.  They have a theme song when they are with Hazel – they created a song called “Super Baby” as they lift up Hazel and she would always straightened up her body, just like a super baby :).

Tiffany spends most of her time cooking for Hazel using natural ingredients, feeding her, while David does the distraction task of keeping Hazel entertained while Tiffany does her thing (I should say, however that Hazel is such a smiley baby!).

One thing is undeniable with this family – there is no doubt that Hazel is so very loved and she is the focus of their lives.

Here are some of my favorites:

Super baby

Hazel was a crawler and not a walker yet.  One thing she does best is rolling.  She apparently had fun with this

Tiffany always said that Hazel is little David.  They even have the same facial expressions.

Both Tiffany + David trying to get Hazel to grab the piece and close it. Wishful thinking, for now.

Another Super Baby moment.

“Don’t Forget Milk”

This session was done days before Halloween and David just finished installing this gigantic ghost figure outside of their house (which was a gift from Tiffany’s dad).

Afternoon strolls around their house

David cleaning the wheels of the stroller as Tiffany starts up another meal for Hazel.

Bedtime reading time, but eventually Hazel focuses more on putting the book into her mouth.

And the last Super Baby moment of the day

Home security is always a priority when having a baby in the house, and this is one of them – a sock to prevent the door from closing

One of Tiffany’s recollections when Hazel were born was waking up in the middle of the night and seeing David watching Hazel completely mesmerized.  He still does it till this day.

End of the night chill.
