CRAIG Peacefully at Stirling Royal Infirmary on September 4, 2010, after a long illness, Maurice aged 75 years, beloved husband of Cecilia, a loving dad to Maurice, Margaret, Liz and Robert, father-in-law to Shirley, Charles, Tam and Rae, a devoted and caring Granda to Craig, Gemma, Jamie, Ryan, Rhiannon, Natalie, Melissa and Robbie, a much loved and sadly missed brother, uncle and friend. Funeral service will be held at Thomas Cuthell and Sons, Dundas Funeral Home, Grangemouth on Thursday, September 9, 2010, at 2.15pm to which all friends are respectfully invited and thereafter to interment at New Grandsable Cemetery. I stood beside your bedside,My heart was crushed and sore.I did my duty till the end,Till I could do no more.My heart is heavy,The road is long,Without you I’m so alone.Your love and your smile will always be,With me to eternity. _From your loving wife Cecilia xx. He was a father very rare,Content with home, Always there.A cheery smile,A heart of gold,No finer Dad this world did hold. _From your loving son Maurice and Shirley xx. We watched you suffer,We watched you sigh,But all we could do, was just stand by,When the time came, We suffered too.For you never deserved what you wentthrough,God took your hand and we had to part;He eased your pain but broke our hearts. If you could have spoken before you died. These are the words you would have replied“This life for me has truly passed,I have loved you to the very last;Weep not for me, but courage take; And love each other for my sake.” _From your loving daughter Margaret and Charles xx. From a hospital bed to a Heavenly rest,God took you home to be His guest. We lived in hope and prayed in vain,That God would make you well again.A happy nature, a happy face,A broken link we can’t replace,‘Tis sad, but true, we wonder why,The best are always the first to die.Loving you always. _From your loving daughter Liz and Tam xx. In tears we saw you sinking,We watched you fade away; Our hearts were truly broken. You fought so hard to stay; But when we saw you sleeping. So peaceful free from pain,We could not wish you backTo suffer that again. _From your loving son Robert and Rae xx. Nothing on earth could ever replace,The sound of your voiceThe smile on your face. You left a place no-one can fill;We love and miss you Granda and alwayswill. _From all your grandchildren Craig, Gemma, Jamie, Ryan, Rhiannon, Natalie, Melissa, and wee Robbie xxxxxxxx.
