Association of Designers of India (ADI), which is committed to promoting bes
t practices in the profession of design in India, has announced the 8th Edition of Pune Design Festival, which is powered by Autodesk and slated for 14-15 February, which will offer Sessions, Workshops, student design competition, showcase of student work & networking events.
ADI believes that Design has a positive impact on business and keeping this in mind, they’ve invited Designers & Design Thinkers from Europe, USA, Japan, SE Asia and India , who will be talking about Design & social impact, creative expression through form & materials, font design, museum design, UI & UX, three workshops on craft, UI & theatre.
Present will be Founder of Vaibhav Studios, Vaibhav Kumaresh who will be delivering a session. Also slated are sessions on ‘Beyond Design’ and ‘Yesterday | Today’ that will have designers from two different generations talking about their solutions to very similar challenges.
Speaking to AnimationXpress.com about the theme of this year’s Pune Design Festival, Ashwini Deshpande from Managing Committee of this fest, says, “This year’s theme of Pune Design Festival 2014, ‘Design Unlimited’, will celebrate wider interpretations by exploring fields other than design that embrace good design as well as interacting with designers that have explored other fields.”
