Loyal Samsung fans are highly anticipating the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. The pair is confirmed to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event this February 21. You may want to pre-order for one on the same day until March 10 because Samsung is said to be offering a free Gear VR with the new smartphone. The South Korean giant's latest virtual reality headset which is compatible with the Note 5, S6, S6 Edge, and S6 Edge+ will also be ready for the upcoming premium flagship devices.

The Samsung Gear VR can play VR content and run virtual apps and games you can find on the Google Play Store. The 32GB Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will immediately be ready for pre-order but shipment will begin March 11. This free Gear VR deal is tempting because the headset brings the mobile user a different kind of experience in the virtual realm. The $99 VR headset may already be affordable but who doesn't want a freebie?

Those who will be placing orders for the Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge will receive an email from Samsung with a link to a special registration page. This is not the first time the company is offering an incentive. If you may remember last year, the company gave away a free wireless charger if you activate Samsung Pay. Perhaps Samsung is offering such promos as one way to market whatever new product or feature they have to highlight.

We've heard a lot about #TheNextGalaxy line but everything we know will only be confirmed at the Unpacked event. We don't know if this promo will only be available in the Netherlands as mentioned in a report but Samsung ought to bring the same gimmick to all regions.
