The key to HD picture is good quality screenshot as a base (good lightning etc.) There are few ways of making high quality screenshots, one of them is combining few smaller pictures (described for example here and here). This way you can create really nice, big and HQ picture.
The other way is using HQ mod, of course if your computer can handle it. If not, you can play with your graphics card settings to see if you can manage to get more texture details without using HQ mod (I am no expert so for this part you have to do some research by yourself).
The last method is to use bigger screen resolution if your screen resolution isn’t on max or use VSR (AMD graphics cards) or DSR (nVidia graphics cards) to increase screen resolution. But again you have to search how to enable it on your own, because I have no idea ;) I just read about this on someone’s blog (can’t use it on laptops and since these are the only computers I have… welp).
Of course you don’t have to do any of these things. I use my default screen resolution 1366x768 and it’s enough to get good quality picture after editing. At least for me. :)
