We've had the most amazing weather throughout September and although we're still enjoying the late summer sun, it's definitely time to think about changing up your wardrobe for the cooler weather as autumn approaches. I recently did a massive clear out of my wardrobe because I love having all my seasonal clothes lined up together. Goodbye summer and hello cozy knits and sweaters. I'm really looking forward to buying new autumnal clothes but for now, here is my shortlist of 3 essential jackets to consider adding to your wardrobe this autumn.

1.
THE DENIM JACKET

The denim jacket is a classic for a reason: it's the transitional staple for your wardrobe and right now, I'm loving the oversized, boyfriend shapes but there are so many different cuts and sizes that will suit a lot of different styles. I feel like this jacket is one of those pieces that will look great with pretty much any outfit. When the weather cools down, this is the perfect piece for layering and denim is actually an awesome wind blocker. Here I'm wearing this really cool oversized and distressed denim jacket from Stradivarius.

2.
THE LEATHER JACKET
Another A/W essential is definitely the classic leather jacket.
A perfect piece for layering over cosy knitwear, long sleeve jumpers and completing with a scarf. What I love about this jacket is that you can wear it with so many pieces that you already have in your wardrobe. My favourite way to style them is with skinny jeans, midi dresses or simple black leggings.

They're warm, edgy and easy to throw on with everything. I bought
this leather jacket from Zara a few years ago and the quality really impressed me for such an inexpensive piece. It still looks brand new and I highly recommend checking out their leather jackets from the TRF collection. Affordable and very good quality.

3.

THE BOMBER JACKET
Bomber jackets are a huge trend this season and I can totally understand why. They are super easy to throw on an again, look amazing with any outfit. I love all the different textures and styles that are currently on the market. In the photos I'm wearing a khaki green bomber from Zara. Below you can find some of my favourite bomber jackets out there right now including some items that I already have in my wardrobe. Oops!
