Yesterday, Producer Angie admitted to having some pretty weird recurring dreams.

One where she couldn’t open her eyes because it was so bright outside and one where she was trying to defend herself, but her she couldn’t lift her arm to throw a punch or use her legs to run away.

What does it all mean? Is it just simply a silly scene playing out in Angie’s sleep-deprived head or does it signify a deeper meaning in her subconscious?

Carson called up dream analyst Lauri Loewenberg from The Dream Zone to break it all down and her thoughts were pretty eye-opening!

“There’s two main reason we get recurring dreams,” Lauri told Carson and Angie. One is that it’s connected to a recurring behavior pattern. Whenever you exhibit the behavior, you get the dream that’s connected to it. The other reason we get recurring dreams is that it’s connected to an ongoing issue, so for as long as the issue continues, so will the dream.”

So…why do these obscure dreams mean Angie may need to stop washing her floors?! Take a listen to Lauri’s explanation below:

Dream #1 – Angie goes outside, but it’s so bright, she can’t open her eyes.

Lauri: Your eyes in your dreams are your ability to focus on something at hand or your ability to perceive and understand something that’s really going on…Light in a dream is about truth and understanding.

Dream #2 – Angie wants to scream to get someone’s attention, but nothing will come out. If she’s about to fight someone to protect herself, she’s unable to lift her arm to throw a punch. She even tries to run, but her legs won’t work.

Lauri: You’re dreaming about things going wrong with your body. The different parts of the body are really important to pay attention to in a dream. Your legs are your ability to stand up for yourself, to put your foot down, make your point, as well as your ability to progress and move forward with a particular situation. Or, your ability to move on from something that’s holding you back.
