Perambur Kumar is a successful blogger from Chennai who started his blogging career back in 2008.
I have tried to catch up a short interview with the BlogStar Perambur Kumar and let’s hear the journey of this middle aged blogger in his own words.
Q1. Hello Sir! How are you?
Ans: Fine.
Q2. How do you feel to be a blogger? Do you think it should also be chosen as a career?
Ans: I am always proud to be a blogger. If you had asked this question 5 years ago I would have said ‘No’. But I would say YES now. If you choose blogging as a career, your future will be very bright. There are more opportunities now to become a successful blogger than 5 years ago.
Q3. When did you start blogging? Who inspired you at the beginning? And what was your first blog?
Ans: I started by blogging career in 2008. My inspiration always is Lisa Irby of 2createawebsite.com. My first blog was kumarads.com and later I started www.way2onlinejobs.com which is a successful one in my career.
Q4. How many blogs are you maintaining right now? Which you work mostly on?
Ans: At present, I work on more than 10 blogs. I work mostly on Insurance and Forex blogs as these two yield more income than others.
Q5. Can you reveal the mystery of PR6 blogs for us?
Ans: No. At present I’ve FOUR PR6 blogs and another thing I don’t want people to start analyze my blogs. How he got PR6 and all. Another important thing is most of my status updates are closely monitored by Google. So if I reveal those things in public, then Google will immediately change its algorithm and make it harder and harder for people to come.
Q6. What do you do apart from blogging? (For earning)
Ans: I am doing Real-estate. It gives huge income for me month after month.
Q7. Who is your first blogger friend? Are you still in touch with him/her?
Ans: Actually, I had no friends for a long time. I got some good friends after joining Facebook only. Some of them are Suresh Khanal, Julius Gyaviira, Harleena Singh, Tony John, Iftekhar Ahmed, Imran Uddin, Main Uddin, Ankit Singla, Shalu Sharma and so on. Sorry if missed out anyone here.
Q8. What would be future of SEO in your perspective?
Ans: SEO never dies according to me. Future of SEO is very bright. It’s nice to see people now start giving more importance to SEO than in the past.
Q9. Any comment on Google’s recent Algorithm behaviors?
Ans: I don’t know why people giving so much importance to Google Algorithm changes. If you follow the basic rules of SEO, then you need not worry about the Google Updates. For example: Google Sites, Yahoo, Wikipedia, MSN are not giving any importance to these changes. Because they’re following the basics of SEO. So they had never got affected by those algorithm changes in the past nor in the present.
Q10. If you got to choose one winner among your admiring bloggers, who would you choose? And why?
Ans: Lisa Irby of 2createawebsite.com. No doubt about it, or there is no second opinion in it. Because she is the one who knows SEO in 2001 itself. She is real master in SEO. After Wikipedia, Google and Yahoo she is only person who knows how to design “Site Structure and Site Navigation” she is master in Anchor Text. In-fact we’re the followers of her. She is our Guru in blogging. She is our role model in blogging. Type “How to Create a Website” in Google.com and see the results. She is always maintaining the first place for 15 years consistently. I don’t see anyone having that much knowledge in blogging or in terms of SEO. All others could sustain that place for a week or two. As an SEO Expert, I know how difficult it is to maintain a position for at least one week. But she is maintaining that first place for 15 years. Oh dear! This is incredible.
Q11.When you going to release you eBook? Many fellow bloggers are waiting for it badly.
Ans: Soon. Date is not finalized so far.
Q12. What can we expect from your eBook?
Ans: The book is about Niche Blogging. You can find some interesting stuff in the book.
Q13. Why are you keeping you high performing blogs for sale?
Ans: Frankly speaking “Multi Niche blogs will not make money anymore” unless you’ve a lot of Guest Authors to write on your blog. I am going to concentrate more on Single Niche blogs than Multi Niche blogs now. Another thing Google always showing irrelevant ads most of time. So people never click those ads. Because of that you lose huge revenue. Last but not least: Advertisers and Sponsors never give advertisements or sponsorship for multi niche blog. Because they always focus on single niche blogs to promote their products and services.
Q14. What was your first earning through blogging?
Ans: My first earnings from Google AdSense. In August 2008, I had earned 137 dollars.
Q15. How much are you earning per month now?
Ans: At present my earnings are in 5-figure mark. Actually I am nearing the SIX-FIGURE income. (These income totally from my blogs) I am not included income from Blog Coaching, SEO Consultation, Web Designing and Seminars.
Q16. Can you tell us something about your relation with Iftekhar Ahmed and Harleena Singh?
Ans: I know Iftekhar Ahmed via Facebook. He is real genius and another thing he knows the technique of making quick money through event-blogging. He is master in that. I analyzed his event blog thoroughly I found out some interesting things. I already published a post on that in my site www.2createablog.com. If you read that then you’ll understand what I am saying. From that blog I got a small clue with which I searched the entire internet and found some sites which are invaluable ones for blogging.
In-fact after visited Iftekhar Ahmed blog I got more than 1000 new blogging ideas. That’s why I always thank to him. Come to Harleena Singh, she is Queen of Blogging. After Lisa Irby she is one taking that place. According to me if you conduct a survey, Harleena Singh wins the 2nd spot in famous and popular bloggers around the world after Lisa Irby. I am really proud to have a friend like her. She is real inspiration to all of us. I am big fan of Yahoo Lifestyle. I never see a website like Yahoo lifestyle for a long time. But Aha-now.com is a great competitor to Yahoo lifestyle. It’s very hard or almost impossible to give a fight with world famous sites. But Harleena singh does it with ease. Hats off to her.
Q17. Can you share THE BEST SEO technique one can apply for his/her blog?
Ans: Best SEO Technique forever is EMD. Do you know what EMD is? Exact Match Domain. If you register a domain name with keywords then you’ll win half of the battle in-fact it’s 60%. EMD applicable not only for Event-Based blogs but also very helpful for Niche Blogs and Business Blogs. Exact Match Domains always treated as Gold in your hand. If you want immediate cash you can sell it for a higher price than normal. If you don’t have EMD then it’s very hard to sell your site for a better price or a higher price. So before purchasing the domains, think twice what to purchase.
Q18. We’ve seen you posting controversial updates on Facebook. Is that a kind of ‘getting exposure’ strategy you are following?
Ans: I never posted Controversial Updates in my status updates. The thing is I am senior person in blogging. If I say something to newbies (sorry, fast-learners), they fail to understand or fail to accept my view. But after a month or two they’d accept my view. This is the story running for the past few months.
Q19. Any inspiring quote for bloggers around the world?
Ans: I don’t believe in taking right decisions. I take decisions and then make them right.
