Just before the election of 2016 came to an end, a plethora of liberal Hollywood hypocrites spent an inordinate amount of time threatening to leave the country should Donald Trump win.

Lena Dunham has once again reneged on her “100 percent chance” of moving to Canada if Trump won the election.

Of course, we knew that these claims were nothing more than attention-grabbing tweets and interview talking points designed to help these celebrities stay in the headlines as the election began devouring the American attention span.  Lena Dunham, of the racy and pedantic HBO drama “Girls”, was at the front of the pack of those ready to jump ship.  Now, Dunham is doubling down on her hypocrisy by continuing to remind us that she has changed her mind.

“Dunham posted a message to Instagram on the eve of Thanksgiving in which she shared part of a letter she claimed to have received. ‘Don’t let the door hit you on the ass when you cross the border into Canada,’ the letter read, according to Dunham.

“The Girls star said she can ‘survive’ that letter, which helped her to realize that she can survive a whole lot more.

“’And you know what else I’ve realized I can survive, as a Jewish pro-choice sexual assault survivor with a queer family member and a belief that we are all exactly & beautifully equal?’ she wrote.

“Dunham, who hit the campaign trail hard for Hillary Clinton, had promised to move to Canada if Trump was elected president. She said, in fact, that there was a ‘100 percent’ chance.

“She also scorned self-hating white women who voted for Donald Trump.”

“It’s painful to know that white women, so unable to see the unity of female identity, so unable to look past their violent privilege, and so inoculated with hate for themselves, showed up to the polls for him, too,’ she wrote in an essay for her Lenny Letter blog published days after the election.”

Dunham’s words are blatantly indicative of her sore loser status as an American millennial liberal.  Her entire generational demographic has been doing nothing but whining in the wake of Trump’s win, pretending that they sacrificed something, anything, to create an environment where Hillary Clinton could get elected.

Unfortunately for Dunham, all of those vitriolic tweets and pedantic ramblings don’t mean anything if the rest of the nation can outvote you.
