I woke up feeling rather refresh after a good 13 hours to sleep and was all ready.....for breakfast :D HAHA
was feeling super famished cause i missed dinner last night
my supposedly dinner for last night being kept near the window because the weather was cold enough to be a fridge and the fridge in our room is somehow being locked up for whatever reasons =.=

breakfast was at the hotel and their huge array of fruits and cereals made me a happy girl! Totally looking forward to breakfast everyday now!
It was set up for the event today so made our way to the NEC event hall after breakfast
the walk along the lake seemed shorter this time since we know the route by now but it was still as unbearably cold as ever T.T

Went to take a quick walk around our area and spotted Volkswagen's booth!

but since he cant be, i just kept snapping photos and sending them to him. HAHA
mad appreciative towards the free wifi that the exhibition hall provides!
we were done by noon and set out to the city centre via train again then transit to the University as Juliana wanted to visit the place for photo taking
once we set our foot into the University, it started snowing!!!

the campus was very quiet, probably due to the Easter holiday, and there were only a few souls around other than us
we made our way towards the iconic red brick building which was the reason for Juliana's visit
it was the Law faculty of the school and somehow i felt that the law fac always get the nicest looking buildings?
both me and Xinying were so cold that we seek refuge in one of the buildings while Juliana ventured out to the main courtyard to take her photos. I have no idea how she can withstand the cold and wind with a 3/4 sleeved blouse and a feathered vest.

back to Birmingham New Street where we headed to Handmade Burger for our late lunch :)
we were attracted to it yesterday even though it wasnt opened when we were here
there was a queue so we got to wait in the cold :/
the good thing was that there were heat radiators so it wasnt so bad
entered the restaurant after 15 minutes of waiting
and proceeded down the stairs where most of the tables were at
orders were made at the counter (much like a fast food concept) but the food will be served to us at the table
i got myself a hot chocolate which was a mug of immense bliss in the cold weather :D
the place was pretty crowded which i hoped was a sign that the food is good :)
i was nearly done with my hot chocolate when our food were finally served

I totally forgot to request for the done-ness of my beef and suffered the consequences :(
the patty was fully cooked, tough and was even charred & crunchy at the edges
worse still, my burger was the petite size so the beef patty was already thinner than the standard ones, hence it was like eating a piece of cardboard which was quite a disappointment *sigh*
It was 4+pm when we were done with lunch. Juliana wanted to make a quick visit to the street market and head back to the hotel to rest so Xinying and I went for a quick shopping spree on our own :D
Bullring shopping centre was really a good place to shop at but we had limited time before the shops close/sun sets so it was a rather rushed and targeted shopping whereby we only go to the stores that we really wanted to instead of random browsing
it was a good 2+hours of shopping anyhow because i was able to get some good buys for myself and the love ones at home ^^
we had wanted to grab some food at Tesco or Marks & Spencer for dinner/snack but both were already closed when we were done with our shoppings :(
made our way back to the hotel instead since we still got food bought from M&S yesterday
the sun was still up and the sky was in such a beautiful blue that i cant help to stop in the cold to snap a picture :)
we spotted a wild little bunny hopping around near the train tracks too! :D
