It's one thing to build an 0-2 count. Which Mets pitchers were able to turn the most favorable count into strikeouts?
Look out for Scott Rice's slider when he is ahead 0-2 in the count! The left-hander finally found a spot in the major leagues last season for the Mets, and he proved the most effective on the team in getting a strikeout on 0-2 counts. The table below highlights the strikeout rate of Mets pitchers with at least 10 at-bats ending on the pitcher's most favorable count.
Keep in mind that these results are purely situations when an at-bat ended with the count before the final pitch being 0-2. The idea is to show which pitchers were most efficient in turning 0-2 counts into strikeouts.
