Admin/Finance Assistant:
Job Description:
1. Assist the Project Coordinator in finance and administrative related work to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
2. Provide assistance to the Finance Manager in matters related to cash management, performing primary level function in accounting, preparation of government statutory reports and requirements, and other related administrative matters, particularly those transactions that deal with the Project.
3. Perform cashiering roles for the Project, such as receiving cash payments and remittances, providing regular information to the Project Manager and Finance Manager regarding cash position, initiates remittance of payments of obligations to creditors and other institutions, etc.
4. Perform bookkeeping roles, such as preparation of disbursements vouchers, journal vouchers, etc. for the Project.
5. Perform administrative tasks, management of correspondence, provides logistical support to the staff and alliance members especially during meetings and other related activities, etc.
Qualifications:
1. Must be a college graduate with a degree in Business Administration or Accounting, or business-related courses. If undergraduate, commensurate work experience maybe considered.
2. At least one year relevant working experience
3. Knowledgeable in basic software programs such as MS Excel and Word (exposure to accounting software an advantage)
4. Familiarity with NGOs and development work an advantage
5. Must be smart, articulate, fast-learner, and hardworking
6. Team-worker
7. Must be willing to work in Quezon City and on extended hours, if necessary
8. Must be willing and physically able to travel.
Site Campaign Officer/s (MIMAROPA and VIsayas)
Job Description:
Coordinate area/field activities for local campaign work in various localities in the Philippines;
Provide direct support to identified activities at the area/field levels through engagement with local campaign mechanisms
Provide support role in public relations and media activities of the advocacy project at the national level
Coordinate with multi-stakeholders (i.e. government, non-government, businesses, and local communities) with regards to information exchange, campaign sharing, and other learning sessions
Regular and consistent monitoring and evaluation of local activities and initiatives
Assistance in resource mobilization requirements of local campaigns
Qualifications:
1. Must be a graduate of any social science course
2. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, with at least 1 year supervisory role
3. Familiarity with NGOs and development work an advantage
4. Familiarity with environmental issues, natural resources management and rights-based approach to development, an advantage
5. Must be smart, articulate, fast-learner, hardworking, and good in public relations
6. With excellent written and verbal communication skills
7. A good team player
8. Preferably locally-based, or willing and able to go on extensive field work and travel
Media and Communications Officer
Job Description:
1. Be responsible for the production and coordination of communication materials for campaigns and advocacy projects such as articles, stories, publications and similar information resources.
2. Manage and maintain website, emails and other social media platforms
3. Coordinate with individuals and organization on the collection, archival and retrieval of media and communication resources
4. Assist in research work and other field documentation requirements
5. Handle press events such as briefings and press conferences
6. Work with our media partners and coordinate campaign actions and events
Qualifications:
1. A graduate of any communication or community development courses or any related course;
2. At least 1 year experience in a similar role in preparing media content and working with media organizations;
3. Familiar with social media, blogging and website maintenance;
4. Interested on issues around the environment, natural resources, indigenous peoples and human rights;
5. Computer literate on office/productivity systems;
6. Knowledge in imaging, video or lay-out software is an advantage;
7. Willing to work long hours, travel as part of the work, team player, and able to work under pressure.
