Hello!
I am obsessed with guacamole. I know that guac is way up there on the list of trendy foods, next to kale, pizza, and donuts, but I do not even care. I have always loved guacamole and it was a special treat when I was growing up, specifically reserved for the snack table at parties. I don’t ever remember buying guacamole to keep in the fridge unless I begged for it and I didn’t smash up avocados to make it myself until I was at least in high school. This amazing food was loved from a distance. Now that I’m in charge of my own grocery shopping and can chuck whatever I want into our cart, guac is making a come back. Of course, I forgot to toss tortilla chips in the bag too, so my lazy butt is settling for soft tortilla and guac with my Parks and Rec binge. I have reached the absolute point of exhaustion in my super busy week and I think that guac is the only thing that will get me through. When I go to Chipotle, I usually get the vegetarian option just so that I can get guacamole included for free. I would much rather have a heaping pile of guac in my burrito than a few charred chicken pieces – let’s be real. Today, I’m indulging in the perfect after school snack. Usually, this would be my day off, reserved for freelance work and whatever else I want to fill my time with. I spent the day volunteering at two middle schools to help with beginning band for fifth and sixth graders. Luckily, I have Netflix and a fresh container of guacamole to help me recover. Hallelujah and all hail avocados! Happy holidays.
