The hotels and hostels listed below are either on Hong Kong Island, the site of the Symposium and the Friday and Saturday dinners, or on Kowloon, easily accessible to Hong Kong Island by public transportation or taxi. The Symposium is being held a 10 minute and inexpensive taxi ride from Central on Hong Kong Island; while the dinners will be located in Central and are walking distance from public transportation and from some of the hotels. There is a wide range of hotels listed, from five star luxury hotels to hostels. For most of the hotels we have been given an allotment of pre-reserved rooms. The JW Marriott, the Conrad and the Shangri-la have not provided this service and it is suggested that should you decide to book these hotels to do so as soon as possible as there is no guaranty as to availability. Most of the pre-reserved rooms can accommodate two people, allowing for sharing of the cost, but if you are planning to share, you should make this very clear at the time of booking to ensure that there are two beds and two names registered. The sharing of a room is entirely up to you and would need to be coordinated by you. Hotel rooms must be directly reserved by you (or your roommate) and guaranteed by a credit card. All prices quoted are inclusive of taxes. Finally, we recommend that you book your hotel rooms as soon as possible as November is high season in Hong Kong and we already know of two very large conferences taking place at the time.
