The beating heart of Looking For Forgiveness is a familiar bluesy guitar riff – it flows alongside the rock guitar and drums to create a stomping belter of a blues-rock track. Stonehouse have somehow created the perfect blues track, and it’s a song that will be the soundtrack to many a summertime adventure – it just sounds great in any environment, whether it be in a park or on a beach.
Lead vocalist Colin Roberts had this to say about Looking For Forgiveness -“Initially it was a rant about religion, and suddenly it took a different shape. I don’t know enough! I put frustrations aside and hey presto a simple story unfolded. I think it highlights the contradiction that religion (in my hugely uneducated opinion) is a matter of them and us.
