Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) focused investment firm 3TS Capital Partners has held a first close of €103m for its third fund.

The fund, TCEE Fund II, follows the €130m second vehicle raised in 2007.

3TS managing partner Pekka Mäki said, “Even if the market environment continues to be challenging, this is turning out to be a terrific year for 3TS.

“After the SolveDirect and Investor.bg trade sales in the spring, we are currently advancing another two successful exits.

“This more than €100m first closing of a technology focused fund is a great achievement in today´s Europe and signals a strong outlook for both our region and the technology sector.”

3TS is focused on making capital and buyout investments of €2m to €10m in high growth sectors such as technology and telecoms, media and marketing, environment and energy.

It said its target companies are in sectors which are most likely to benefit from the catch up to the western EU or in pre-accession run up.

The firm also provides financing to companies expanding into the CEE region.
