A trio of venture capital firms have backed a $10m Series B financing round for freemium customer relationship management business Insightly.
Emergence Capital Partners, Sozo Ventures and TrueBridge Capital Partners all took part in the round, which was led by Cloud Apps Management founder and managing director Matt Holleran.
Gordon Ritter, a founder and managing partner at Emergence, will join the Insightly board following the investment.
He said, “Insightly’s success shows the appeal of a well-designed CRM product for the SMB market.
“Emergence Capital is thrilled to back the Insightly team, and we look forward to working with the company as it continues to grow and expand.”
Insightly says that more than 184,000 small businesses from over 100 countries use the company’s cloud-based CRM and project management system to track customer interactions and manage contacts and data.
Last month Emergence and iNovia Capital led a $7.5m Series A round for transportation technology company Intelligent Imaging Systems and its subsidiary Drivewyze.
The company said it would use the funds for sales and marketing expansion of the Drivewyze PreClear wireless weigh station bypass service as well as for new product development.
