 NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK:

Under the supervision of the VP of Marketing, the Corporate Digital Platform Manager produces a wide range of digital products and services to assist the entire company; Corporate Team,  Account Executives, Promotions Directors, Program Directors, and other Alpha Media staff. This includes creating, launching, and maintaining a uniform website platform that all Alpha Media stations utilize on a daily basis. This web platform will continue to evolve with modern web trends and give listeners and advertisers universal user experience across all devices.  This includes website production, code and graphic design. Job requires well-developed communication skills to present and exchange technical or complex information. Interactions occur with a variety of people including company executives, sales staff, and clients.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Creates the blueprint of the Alpha Media platform by building customized code for the Alpha Media Websites. This will detail what theme, features and advertising opportunities exist across all stations.

Tests the platform and features fixing any bugs or issues prior to the sites going live and being revealed to the local markets and continues to test, fix and maintain any and all updates to the templates and structure.

Transfers over Alpha Media stations to the new platform based on stations eligibility to make the switch. This process will involve speaking with each market and seeing what current platform they are on and if they are under contract

Trains a designated person in each local market on how to use the platform and update local content as needed

Continues to maintain the platform and add additional features and benefits

Consult with local markets to help them maintain consistent digital identity.

Set goals that will be measured monthly

Trains new digital employees as they are added to the team.

Meets with digital team to strategize and brainstorm new ideas.

Designs and produces graphics for sales and programming content for the web and print in a Windows environment using Adobe CS products.

Acts as a technical and creative resource assisting Alpha Media staff with graphic and web production.  Offers technical support to local markets and digital team.

Responsible for managing the security of all Alpha Media sites

Work with sales staff to create strategies to increase digital revenue

Uploads and describes audio and video content to popular streaming sites such as SoundCloud, YouTube, and Vimeo; publishes embeded HTML and URL links for digital content distribution to listeners through WordPress.

Manages digital media files.

Meets daily deadlines based on personal workflow, department workflow, and Programming, Promotions, and Sales staff needs.

Stays abreast of current design and production methods, procedures and trends. Updates knowledge of software used by utilizing company training resources.

Manages multiple projects with frequently adjusted priorities.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Associate’s degree or two years of college-level course work in web development, code, graphic design, or related area. Relevant experience performing the duties of the job may substitute for the educational requirement. Two years of recent experience creating WordPress based websites and graphic design solutions using Adobe CS products, FTP software, Windows 7/8 and Mac OSX.  Ability to work with non-technical clients and staff and translate content into products in formats including but not limited to graphics and HTML documents.  Demonstrated ability to work as part of a project team.
