The Accredited Management Organization (AMO) accreditation is the only recognition of excellence given to real estate management firms. The requirements are now more relevant than ever to real estate managers, their clients, and the assets they manage.

Alliance Residential Company is a fully-integrated multifamily real estate operating company focused on the development, acquisition, construction and management of residential and mixed-use communities in the United States. Headquartered in Phoenix, Alliance has 35 regional offices nationwide, including a branch office in Escondido.

As a company, Alliance is an Accredited Management Organization through IREM and ranks as the seventh largest management company in the nation. Accreditation and recognition such as this, coupled with active participation in industry organizations, is one of the ways we continue to establish our company as an organization that is not just doing business in the local community, but is a part of that community. We care about our associates, residents, owners and vendors, and are committed to developing a sense of citizenship and activism in the cities where we work and live.

We are a proud partner and proponent of IREM’s industry certification program on national and local levels. In 2014, we teamed up with IREM to allow our associates to complete necessary coursework to earn IREM’s Certified Property Manager (CPM©) designation and Accredited Residential Manager (ARM©) certification through our internal learning management system. This first-of-its-kind partnership has become a cornerstone of Alliance’s Professional Development Program and is promoted on national and regional levels. We also celebrate achievement of these milestone certifications during our annual regional and national awards events.

Locally, we have multiple Regional Managers working to complete certification by the end of 2017, as is the Vice President who oversees San Diego. Alliance also supports the local chapter of IREM through the attendance at the chapter’s lunch-and-learns, meetings and other events throughout the year, including sponsorship of the IREM annual golf tournament. We similarly seek out opportunities to participate in the local real estate community, including involvement with the California Apartment Association (CAA) San Diego. Alliance is proud to have one or two of its employees sitting on the CAA board at all times and has been honored with multiple nominations year-after-year for the CAA San Diego Tributes Awards.

Another component of Alliance is the Alliance Cares program, which encourages associates and residents to support the causes that are important to them on local and national levels. Being in the multifamily housing industry allows Alliance to impact the design and structure of the larger communities and cities surrounding our properties, and giving back is an integral part of the cultural fabric at Alliance. On a local level, the San Diego team hosts an annual toy drive each holiday season. During the past holiday season, the team also organized a gift-giving event for the San Diego Police Department’s STAR/PAL program for homeless and underprivileged children.

Overall, IREM’s dedication to ethical business practices, maximizing the value of investment real estate, and promoting superior management through education and information-sharing closely aligns with our philosophy as a manager and developer. Because of this, we place great value on our partnership with IREM and our efforts to support the organization nationally, as well as on local levels in San Diego and our other markets.
