Through the production of appropriate analytical products, they will identify key risks and make focused recommendations for intelligence, prevention, enforcement and performance to mitigate those risks.The successful candidates will use available resources to develop informed performance and intelligence pictures ensuring that operational resources are appropriately targeted. They will also engage with partners and stakeholders to access appropriate datasets and ensure that risks to the regulatory regime are understood and appropriately addressed.The successful applicant will be involved in the production of:Tactical AssessmentsStrategic AssessmentsSubject ProfilesDaily scanningOperational policing productsPerformance productsIt is essential that applicants meet the following criteria:Proven experience of innovative and creative approaches to problem solvingDemonstrate experience in the writing of terms of reference and the analysis, interpretation and inference development of complex information [not necessarily within policing]A high level of critical and analytical thinking, being methodical, creative and have an eye for detailExperience in researching, processing and analysing large volumes of data through the use of analytical techniques and productsDemonstrate effective report writing and presentation skills, with experience in delivering to all levels of an organisation and being articulate and able to debate complex issuesAbility to use own initiative and work under pressure, possessing good time management skillsDemonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, with proven experience of forming and maintaining internal and external relationshipsGood computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteAbility to travel as required throughout Norfolk and Suffolk and to other locations as appropriateIt is desirable that applicants meet the following criteria:A working knowledge of Evidence Based Policing principlesPrevious experience of, or trained in the use of i2, Microsoft Reporting or equivalent softwarePrevious experience of working in a confidential environment with personal responsibility for handling sensitive data.
