Police Support Officer - Guildford,Reigate,StainesSalary: ,178 plus ,077 unsocial hours allowanceReference: RS/13/01We are looking to create a ?pool? of candidates ready for the next intake of Police Support Officers (this is likely to be Summer 2013), supporting warranted police officers to enable them to deliver a fast time operational response to incidents as well as enhance public confidence.You will be supporting fast-time incidents by giving assistance to Targeted Patrol Team response officers. This will include scene protection, traffic direction, general assistance with critical incidents and serious traffic collisions, searches, attending selected incidents, and transporting prisoners. As you progress in the role you will have the opportunity to become more involved in our fast-time response as you support officers deliver front-line policing.You will attend non confrontation incidents independently of a police officer and this will include dealing with non injury collisions, statement taking, and types of crime. You will be required to carry out minor enforcement activity to deter instances of nuisance, anti social behaviour.In order to effectively carry out the role you must have the ability and be prepared to drive a vehicle the size of a Ford Connect Van. This will be a rewarding role which sees you working as part of the Targeted Patrol Team. You will become a member of one of the five rotas and as such, alongside your team, you will be working a full rotational shift pattern which includes night shifts 22:00pm ? 07:00am for which you will appropriately remunerated with an annual unsocial hours allowance payment.
