Programme Manager, Infrastructure and Research SchoolsRef. LGCINT12-179Job Purpose The team is looking to recruit a Programme Manager to join the Infrastructure & Research Schools team within LGC's DH Programme Management Group (DHPMG), based in Twickenham, Middlesex. DHPMG provides Central Commissioning Facilities for the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) and the Department of Health's Policy Research Programme, managing a number of major health research programmes and infrastructure investments for NIHR and DH. The team manages the NIHR Biomedical Research Centres and Units, the NIHR Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research & Care (CLAHRCs), the NIHR Patient Safety Translational Research Centres, the NIHR Clinical Research Facilities in Experimental Medicine, the NIHR Healthcare Technology Co-operatives, the NIHR Diagnostic Evidence Co-operatives and the NIHR Schools for Primary Care Research, Public Health Research and Social Care Research, with a combined annual budget of more than million. The job of the Programme Manager is to play a key role in the performance management of the portfolio of studies and management of funding competitions. Candidates will be expected to possess an excellent science-based degree and experience of research programme management, ideally in a healthcare related discipline.
